Hello All, I've been running some BFL equipment for quite a while on an AX860 with absolutely no problems... Recently decided to get 2 Cubes to mess around with, and a 2nd AX860 to run them.
So here's the problem. I can get ONE cube running off the 860, if I plug one pci in at a time. If I plug the 2nd unit in, as soon as it clicks on the PSU goes into some kind of protective state and will only turn back on if I unplug the MB cable (I can hear something click off inside the PSU). It's rated for around 800w on the 12v rail, do these units really pull THAT much on startup? Anyone else have problems like this with the cubes?
Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have both running right now, but the 2nd unit is running on an old PSU I had lying around (a 450w supply, probably without this overload protection).
BTW I've tried plugging both AX860's I have to power these, they both do the same thing. I'm running them off a 240v supply but if anything that should give them some extra kick, not overload like this.
Thanks in advance!
