Anyone learning programming website from beginning?

I like developing website, or more specifically: coding web and writing content. I know some about HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but still far from experienced. I'm finding the way to do it better and hopefully become an amateur programmer.

Anyone has the same intention like me?

Heya, I recommend checking this page out. Its the creator of C++, C++ is not an easy language to learn, but if you learn it well all other languages are relatively easy. Maybe consider buying his book, can work well for beginners of programming in general.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly? Different sites require a different skill-set. Generally speaking, I think most sites run fairly nice with PHP and a bit of JS (no worries, google and stackoverflow always have the answer to what bit of code you need. It comes with 500 lines of redundant code )

The 'real' way to learn any kind of development is by simply doing it. Give yourself a project that you'd like to build and then get on with it. Learn along the way. If you need to get familiar with a new language learn the basics and rules. The best programmers, designers and developers I know and used to study with never came to school or picked up a book. They just did. Those who studied for it never gotten far, ironically.
