A little bit more time for pools would have been nice, why such a freaking rush, it's not like few days of warning would have changed things dramatically. My 200MH/s pool was stuck on the wrong fork for maybe 12 hours I blame no one else than myself, but I might have been able to see the update if there would have been more time.

My 200MH/s pool was stuck on the wrong fork for maybe 12 hours I blame no one else than myself, but I might have been able to see the update if there would have been more time. I do apologize for the short notice- we were pumping messages out for 5 days ahead of the release, pools should have been on notice but I still understand the window to upgrade was short. Luckily the majority of the network moved over very quickly. We had to move fast because honestly the coin was getting destroyed and multipools manipulating the forkpoint (unintentionally), it would have taken weeks to reach the old fork point. We (community and team) talked about shooting for a lil higher forkpoint but we did that last time and got screwed... its a hard decision to make, and even harder to make sure everyone knows. We tried our best and as always, have learned and will make clients available ahead of time for pool operators sooner next time. What pool do you run? If it is a public pool we're trying to keep the list of updated pools current so post up your pool if its public. Thanks.

Thanks. When I left the fork there was still 700MH/s on the forked network, so I definitely was not alone. It also wasn't that bad for us, I think the pool was only popular for 7 hours, and only last two hours we had more than 100MH/s on there. Unfortunate, but happens. My pools is at https://meow.hash.so/ but it's currently down for maintenance I need to nuke it up and start fresh, my miners will love me..

Great been mining the wrong fork since yesterday with 20,000 mhs wasted and no way of switching the miners till at least tomorrow !!! What pool? We reached out to every pool that had an active "contact" page. We were late to release the binaries but were talking about this on twitter, IRC, reddit and kittehcoin forums for much more than 48 hrs before forking (4-5days spamming multiple posts per day, hard to miss- notice only a few pool operators here missed it). I do apologize for the inconvenience. PM me an email address so we can get in touch with you, we directly email all pool owners who give us the info to contact them. Those who we don't have email info for we go pool-by-pool sending support emails, TWICE. Some pools don't allow support email and just say "apache license" when you click the support link in MPOS- thus we have no way to reach some pool owners at all. We do apologize for the short notice, but as a pool operator you have some responsibility to stay on top of the news or if not- give us a way to reach you. Thanks!, added to the list.

Hit you up on PM. Definitely unfortunate and something that WILL NOT happen in the future now that I've added you to our pool-operators directory. Soon as you update let me know. In the interim poor Jochem who runs luckyminers was on the hospital with a concussion when the news went out! Talk about bad timing https://meow.luckyminers.com/ has now updated and been added to the list. The KittehCoin Team hopes that Jochem feels better soon!!

Avoid using P2Pool for now as it seems that it is not generating valid blocks for new version (was working before but since some time, blocks generated by P2Pool are not awarded in new version walllet, some shares generated by P2Pool includes more than 50k MEOW https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448003.msg5187612#msg5187612 ).

Problem is that for example Rav3n still uses old network in his version https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav (he only set network to persist false for now). I've send him a message, hope he will accept this changes. Edit: Now I see there is already push of this changes into his version for two days not yet accepted :-( Edit2: Rav3n commited changes just a while ago so we may hope that things will move now :-) Edit3: Three Rav3n nodes listed here still on old network :-(

about 40MH/s came into p2pool from nowhere p2pool nodes please update according to kittehcoin's git (IDENTIFIER+PREFIX especially) there are still some hashrate on older p2pool which can be combined to a nice big pool https://github.com/kittehcoin/p2poollately i prefer p2pools a lot more than MPOS banks (fees, DDOS, robbery). is it really very good for the network ? if everyone runs p2pool will it be more difficult to DDOS? with MPOS just need to DDOS a few big pools. with many p2pool nodes it will be more work.

Yesterday I've found node with most power in old network and asked them to update, seems they did. But keep in mind that this node is part of some sort of profit switching site build around p2pool so expect hashrate jumping.

P2Pool is doing very well now, generating blocks regularly, from officially updated pools list here, this nodes are ok: http://p2pool.name:9566 ( fee) http://solidpool.org:9566 ( fee) http://taken.pl:9566 ( fee) http://lovok.no-ip.com:9566 ( fee) avoid: http://p2pool-eu.gotgeeks.com:9566 (last seen on old network, new wallet, days offline) http://p2pool-us.gotgeeks.com:9566 (last seen on old network, new wallet, days offline) http://rav3n.dtdns.net:9566 (still old network, new wallet) http://p2pool.org (not in list here, old network, unknown wallet) typical config for mining on p2pool: cgminer --scrypt -Q 0 -o stratum+tcp://<MEOW p2pool node address>:9566 -u <your MEOW wallet address> -p x
