Just got a new 10 x P104-100 mining rig from bitnand.com. Currently doing around ~400MH/s single mining ETH.

I've heard some folks are getting 41-42MH/s per card. How do you configure your card? What clock & power limit do you set them at? Many thanks  Grin

use eth enlargement mod
underclock core and overclock memory until you find sweet spot
that should give a bit more hashrate

I don't think EthEnlargement mod works on P104 tho. Right?  Huh

The mod is only for 1080 and 1080Ti.

Nice rig. You should try limiting the P104 power to around 150W if you want to hit 41-42MH/s. It's a hit or miss, aka silicon lottery. It depends on memory brand and chip batch imho.

Fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful. Just HODL.

I did many tests but it's never gone over 41 mh/s. It seems my P104-100 is stable at 39 mh/s, and get peak at 40.5 mh/s. All the tests were shown up here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2677496

Yeah, most folks I know get 40-41MH/s for majority of their cards. Some can't even hit 39MH/s, so it really depends on your luck.

That said, I do know some people who manage to hit 42MH/s on some cards. They told me it's Gigabyte cards.

5500$ for 400 MH? What the fuck? Why people pay so much money? I can´t believe it.

Roll Eyes

especialy now, when eth mining is crap. rewards went down and so on. Better mine something else with Nvidia.

with Nvidia  you can mine equihash144_5 forks (BTG,XSG,SAFE,LTZ,BTCZ)... which seems more profitable atm, no nicehash, no asics.

Looking really good. Very slick.
Card options are still good, but in the near future, I don't know if they can handle the race.

Thanks man! So far I've been really happy with the performance and stability of the rig. It runs cool too, max at at 50-55'C depending on ambient temperature. Shout out to Bitnand for a solid product.

That is a very huge amount to spend for a mining rig, I'd rather be sticking to GPU and then mine some other coins. I am building my rig now and haven't spend 2000$ for it yet. I think I'd be deploying it soon.

Will the AMD rx series work for these coins too? I can see some of these coins are already valuable. It must be worth mining. They are asic resistant?

You paid a premium price for the rig but good luck on your mining journey.

actually, yes it can but every card has an advantage for some algorithm as AMD is not good enough if to mine in Equihash algo.

They are asic resistant?
I think not because Bitmain released a new product (Antminer Z9 Mini) for Equihash Algorithm

That is also the disappointment with mining rig, the moment there are companies releasing miners that will give us difficulties earning out with our rigs, its almost over. ETH miners were also in this situation when an ASIC ETH miner is about to be released.

Which sort of coins are you suggesting which has Equihash algo? I'm not much aware of these coins.

IMHO you kinda get what you pay for. If it's top quality product, it's gonna be expensive.

ETHlargement indeed won't do anything to your P104s because the program was designed only to improve the performance of GDDR5 on the 1080, 1080Ti and Titan XP. From what I've researched, the program doesn't do anything with any other cards utilizing GDDR5X yet. This post includes a screenshot of a user launching ETHlargement for a P104, and it was still doing 40MH/s even with the program on. Perhaps the devs might implement support for P-series cards in the future, but it won't work at this moment.

How does ETHlargement work exactly? I presume it's just tuning memory timings?

If that's the case, there should be a version of ETHlargement that should work for P104 GDDR5X, right?

Your cards are already overclocked so EthEnlargement will not work. The only way to tune your cards is to decrease power consumption setting down GPU Core voltage to 800 mV or decreasing TDP to 60-70% and increase memory frequency +400-800 Mhz depending on your chips.

Wait, so ETHEnlargement is just overclocking? I thought it is more about memory timing tuning. I don't see why it wouldn't work on P104 if it's memory timing settings.  Huh
