Please go and sign the petition. No matter what happens with Mt. Gox, I don't think it is appropriate for Karpeles to stay on the board, given his attempts to blame the problems of his exchange on the bitcoin protocol.

I'm not sure a petition will do much good.

1,348 Votes as of right now.

Im not trying to ruin Mark's day or anything (even though he's ruined many others days), but 1300 votes is a miniscule amount given how many people are involved in Bitcoin.

What publication / interface does this need to be placed on, to get more traffic?

Are people tweeting / FBing ?

Signed.  He needs to go, no question asked.

Oh Loaded, who art up in Mt. Gox, hallowed be thy name!  Thy dollars rain, thy will be done, on BTCUSD.  Give us this day our daily 10% 30%, and forgive the bears, as we have bought their bitcoins.  And lead us into quadruple digits

The foundation doesn't seem to stand for the bitcoin community - they rather stand for themselves!

I'm not sure why we don't get rid of them. Protest. The media will strike them down. That CEO that got arrested for money laundering, now Karpeles, come on..

Is that true?  What's the latest on the protesters?
I suppose in Japan you can't just stand in one place for a long time holding a piece of paper?  I think that would be allowed in the US...(although who knows nowadays)

Doesn't matter.

I was there. Building owner got pissed and called cops. We got kicked away for not having a license to protest (yes, such a thing exists). Talked to police later at the station and they are on our side. Will try to be back up Monday.
In the end, building owner was also sympathetic after we told him Gox wouldn't return our money or coins! All good. Thx for support!
All is good.
