I'm overly curious to know - is BTC only about speculation?  Or have you used bitcoins for day to day transactions.  I would like to hear your story, what have you purchased with Bitcoins, and why Bitcoins and not a standard currency?

Which forum is the most interesting for these types of transactions?

I unfortunately bought a Jalapeno and then transferred it to mining by the Ghash. HUGE MISTAKE.
Have donated and given away around 1.2+ btc in the last 6 months - lots of paper wallets as gifts.
Bought some paper wallet supplies as well.
All in all, over 50 transactions.

BTC = Black Swan.
BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.

Same here.  There is nothing I really need, and can't buy with real currency.  Once there is something that I absolutely want and can only by with BTC, or there is a large discount with BTC, then maybe i'll buy something with it.

Of course it's not just about speculation. It is a currency, just a new one that is currently growing.

I don't really want a foot massage, but I'd like to be able to spend it on whatever I want and not be limited to a few small coffeeshops and other such stuff.
