Is adding a "burn" function worth the extra gas costs?

I feel that it would be valuable to be able to burn a NFT or cNFT. But since the data in the hash function can change, I guess theres no point.

Maybe a good way to do this is to make a "vault" they can get moved into and never be retrieved.
