Is it much work to create new sections on the forum?

I don't think it'd be much work if old topics are left in "general market" so they don't all have to be sorted.

Seems most are for dividing it up.
We could start with /general / buying / selling / reputation(feedback)
Or something along those lines.
I like the idea of post count but I think captchas if we can do that would work too.

Haha yes, I could see why sorting that many threads would become difficult  Grin. Members can quite easily create threads for their requirements in the new sections, so sorting would be a bit pointless if anything.

If there is a popular demand, would you consider the creation of these new sections?

Does this forum run any kind of flood protection as it stands? Although I haven't had chance recently to spend much time on the forum, I haven't seen any automated or scripted posts. Captcha codes are a great way to limit the posts made and I think if applied only to the "Selling" section people won't have to much of a problem (I mean, how many threads a day are you needing to make anyway?).

I can't create sections. Sirius will probably be the one to do it, though Gavin also has the capability.

I would like to see a strictly hiring board for services. It would certainly encourage more jobs (if any) in the Bitcoin economy.

That's one of the things I threw out there earlier, divide buy and sell farther in to services / products or goods / services or whatever you want to call it. I don't think making it more specific will ever be a  problem as long as there's also a general area for market type questions etc.
