If business or venture promises a smooth ride (no risk), then run. Investing in Bitcoin is risky considering it is still emerging and at infant stage. One can gain everything and still lose it all. The question I ask myself in any venture is that does the risk worth it?

That's definitely true. PayPal just reversed one of the payments made to me for bitcoin--and it wasn't a chargeback, it was PayPal's suspicion. Not sure what the issue was, but I don't want my PP account nuked. I heard many of my friends say, investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is like a gamble. If we are lucky, then surely we will get a lot of money from investing in them. Otherwise, we would seem to lose everything.
Yeah, yeah, it's a gamble. So is buying stocks or artwork. I know this thread was started by someone who needed to start a new thread for whatever reason, and I'm not sure why he's asking what he's asking--but I would say that since BTC is still associated with dark market transaction and scams, people are going to look at BTC transactions and the people who own BTC with suspicion. Why do you think Coinbase cancels accounts associated with gambling? Why do you think banks haven't gotten involved with bitcoin? Why don't payment processors allow businesses to accept payment for things like kratom? They don't want to be associated with vices, that's why. And bitcoin is inextricably linked to them. There's a reputational risk at best, but I don't care. The banks and everyone else will come around eventually. |

This is business, and since that bitcoin was being categorized in it, obviously there is risk involvement. Once you are investing your money on it you are risking your capital which you believed you will gain more about it due to the trust you have in the business,isn't right? Especiall, in bitcoin if you buy of course your going to hold it in a long term for believing that it will goes up in the near future, even your risking your investment for it in the time which you are not sure about it but because of trust your still doing it.

I can say that when you invest in bitcoin you're money in on risk already, Just like any other investment instrument there are no assurance that you will have a fortune or even a profit when you invest in it. The market is so volatile that you can see price manipulation of big players in the market. And also bitcoin is not regulated by any government entity so we can say that bitcoin is not legitimate yet and there's no law that can protect you from fraud and any illegal activity regarding bitcoin. So there's so much risk regarding bitcoin, but I can say that Im a believer of bitcoin and risk is essential  |

engaging in bitcoin is both a honor and a responsibility. engaging in bitcoin will somehow guide you on what businesses are like but the cons about it is that your family starts to depend on you. When I was still a student I support myself and at the same time I also support my family. it is actually burdensome but I manage to stabilize myself and be where I am right now. The stress of being independent is now gone.

Yes upto to some extent but it is moslty for investors.In all investment risk is very common.You can either get profit or loss.Anything can happen.So every investor should be a risk taker.For others,wallet key is very important.Lossing it is a major risk.We should be aware that some intruder or hacker can hack out wallet key and misuse it which is one of the major risk.So yes engaging in BTC is a risk upto some extent.

But in order to do this, we are also required to be financially healthy. The lingering fact is that money is not achievable as a single candy you can buy in the store. Sometimes, people risk their lives and reputation just to get a handful. Bitcoins are not officially a currency that you can just see in a certain country, that are being utilized and used. So, is dealing with bitcoins and other things related to it also puts us in a risky gamble?
Of course it does knowing that you are gambling the money you are investing on something that has no assurance yet. Although that's the situation, you should not be afraid to take the risks knowing that after conquering it, great rewards are waiting that is beyond your imagination. But some of the risk pays off, it's not all the time that they do. At least for a
lot of people here who has experienced the pros and cons of engaging and
investing bitcoins and cryptocurrency in general. Sometimes risk is what
