Ok, so these days there are so many scamcoins made for the sole purpose of making the dev's money. Now I know a couple of people who would like to release a coin soon and their question was: If the dev needs SOME money to get their coin of the ground without dumping their coins on everyone how would you preffer they get the money? Run and IPO or have a small premine? Or would  you prefer none? The only problem with none is that it makes it hard for people to get services and such for the coin up. Do you have any other idea on how to get some kind of funding? The only other way they see is an instamine/begging in the main thread for some donations.

Rather premine than IPO, that way he can make money out of his own coin without wasting other peoples btc if the coin fails hard.

Why not a mix? A small premine just to keep the coin up and going (Can do public wallet or whatever) and then a small IPO to raise funds for services and such.

What is the coin for? Or who is it for?

What is it about all existing coins that makes them unable to perform the function this coin is intended to perform?

This coin is aimed at investors mainly, it will be a pos/pow coin used to retain value similar to bitbar.

It's main competitor will be bitbar. The thing with bitbar is that there was a lot of controversy surrounding it with a premine/instamine as you can see here: http://cryptolife.net/crapcoin-of-the-day-bitbar/

Now understandibly we are talking about premining a coin that is a fixed version of a premined coin... Although it will be done in the eyes of everyone to see and understand. It will be fair for everyone to get in on and it will not spam out thousands of coins straight away and then just stop producing any coins at all.
