Had a look online, the solution to the error is to remove the configuration file.
Thats no good if I want to solo mine.

Saw this link
http://doges.org/index.php?topic=8389.0

Is this a bug with 1.5?

Id like to solo mine some Doge but if I cant have a conf file, or 1.5 doesnt read the conf file properly then I guess non of us will be solo mining any.

Any ideas peeps?
Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I just encountered the same problem and solved it by try and error. The answer is: you need a longer password.

Your rpcpassword needs to be at least 20-digit long after Dogecoin 1.5.

The error message only said the rpcpassword should be secure, but failed to state the condition above.
