We do not need more, because they only sabotage the bigger goals of Bitcoin. Why? Well, Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin to get rid of centralized controlled financial services and Payment processors are centralized third party services. You are supposed to pay for services directly, not through some third party services.  Roll Eyes

The other reason is that these Payment processors are simply a service that converts bitcoins to fiat. The merchant never own or use bitcoins, because the bitcoins are immediately converted to fiat. <How is this real Bitcoin adoption?>

In fact we do need payment methods on any website because everyone has their own way and choice.

all people in a different world of course then from the terms of payment that evolved from the form and type, such as your broadcast from miners btc, yes btc it can also be a wonderful means of exchange at this time not all traders have such a tool

IMO, Now and we have BTCPayServer which you could use to run everything on your own + Lightning network supported? no, I don't think we'll need any more.

How does  that thing work? never heard of this before. but sounds interesting though...  Is that like fast transaction?

With so many options for accepting Bitcoin on your website do we need any more?

So many companies offer services to accept Bitcoin or some other crypto as a method of payment, I recently saw another one pop up in testing mode.

Unless something exceptional is offered including super-low fees do we need to have more and more options to process payments on websites?

At the present time, the establishment of a payment system that allows transactions by cryptocurrency in general and Bitcoin, in particular, is very simple and fast. Typically you can use WordPress, OpenCart ... without programming skills. Coinbase is offering free API, you can use BTC, ETH quickly and conveniently. However, you will incur a certain transaction fee.

I think if do bitcoin payment processors, it will be very helpful step .because bitcoin currency increased many countries & they adopted it day by day.no doubt it will be must in future l hope so,

If you what you say is true then the way to achieve getting there is to maximise the potential and make it as less 'technical' as possible so any person with any skill set can have their own private option to offer Bitcoin as a method of payment at checkout.

With already available plugins for Woocommerce and other carts that merchants use by paying a percentage of transactions fees for their service, they simplify things for the e-shop owners. With "btcpayserver" is removes the need to pay a percentage of your profits or transaction in fees to crypto payment processor companies but you need a small amount 'technical' know how to install btcpayserver and be prepared to pay for the hosting of that server as it will sync the whole Bitcoin blockchain.

The more simple the BTC payment processing process becomes the more merchants will leave traditional crypto payment providers such as those I listed in the OP.

Definitely there should be more and more service providers available in the market.  Because in monopolistic market ; the trader will be charging higher commission for the services being provided by them.  As we will not be having any choice so we will be forced to be ruled by the monopolist.
So we should welcome the more and more service providers in the market.  As they will be having competition with each other; they will try to provide improved services. Also they will be trying to attract more and more customers by cheap services.

competition is always good. it keeps businesses honest and on their toes forcing them to always try and provide the best and cheapest services. otherwise if we end up having 1 or 2 giants they end up taking the whole market and never improve and eventually they may even turn bad.

not to mention that we need more payment processors in other countries that are not US. BitPay and Coinbase which are two of the biggest ones are already in US!

I agree just a handful of providers can corner the market in this and any field so what do you think, should a self-service like btcpayserver become common over tradition providers?

I agree. Because having more and more payment processors will just make people confused and there could be a possibilty that those sites can be phised or used to scam so I think one is enough like BTCPaySever. The most important thing with this is that we still have the full control of our own funds and I think that everyone loves to support  with it most especially to Bitcoin holders that uses payment processors.

Having full control of the funds is the best part but having to balance that with the cost and implementation of the server over a plugin from third party is something the individual has to look at.

maybe a country that has developed and well received cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency has been recognized it could happen, in my country the cryptocurrency is not fully recognized as the currency that applies in my country maybe that's the reason it's hard to happen

What has that got to do with cryptocurrency payment processors?

The reason why bitcoin is developed is to give ease to the market, it is used by the consumers to consume and there are lots methods on buying so I think there will be more kinds of process for bitcoin consumption using this mode of payment

What you say is completely true. Centralised financial services were not in the plans of Satoshi when Bitcoin was created and payment processors are effectively indirectly that.

BTCpay Server goes a long way to putting the crypto in the hands of the merchant without the need for third party organisations making it a direct transaction between "customer and seller"

The more companies there are, the more they try to make their service best, logically it's like that but personally I can't see it here. All I see is that everyone only tries to promote theirselves by becoming exclusive bitcoin payment processors for top companies and examples of this are ipayyou for starbucks, Bitpay for other well known companies and a lot (not lot to be fair but there are decent amount of them).

wow you are smart hahaha,
I also like to choose a payment site with a low transaction delivery fee,
and if I may know, I ask for a site link with a low transaction delivery fee for payment

i think we really need many as much as possible in every country, most of what you mention are base only in the united states, in order to hasten the process of adoption every nation should atleast have the option to an easy cash out/in from fiat to crypto and vice versa, luckily its easier in my country..

Dont you guys think that we need a payment processor which will bridge between the bank account and the virtual payment system. I mean there is no system in place where we can send the money directly from our bank account to the crypto accepting party. For example there are PayPal, nettler etc who are able to transfer the funds directly from our bank accounts even when there is no balance in those wallets. I want to know about any processor which has this kind of codes in it. I mean say im paying at the crypto services and I want to use my DApp but have no balance in it then that wallet should be able to retrieve the money from bank, convert it into the desired coins and then pay it. Then there is fun.
I would agree with you. many as i saw had similar thought but work should be put in to make this reality. as far as i know noone is working 100
% towards solving this problem

I find it deeply strange that the two largest payment processors, Coinbase and Bitpay, are basically doing all they can to stop Bitcoin payment processing without outright abandoning it.

Coinbase now make merchants handle their own private keys. No merchants want to do that. Bitpay are suckling the Bcash glans for all they're worth and make it as clear as possible that Bitcoin is shit when you try to use it through them.

There'll always be no shortage of crypto only processors. What's needed is more with banking connections because the current options are shoddy as you like and I really don't understand what long game they're playing.
