merit I think can not be sold because it is a reward given to us because we have a good post and quality. so I do not know if anyone is selling merit. maybe it becomes a violation if there is a sell merit and can be exposed to risk in banned from the forum.

I think no one is selling their merit. Merit can be earned by posting a informative good quality post and it is prohibited here in the forum. If someone caught selling their merit for sure he/she will be banned here. To get some merit make your commentvery constructive and informative that can help others here in forum. If they like your post here then you will earn merit.

Though I am shocked with your post but the replies are more shocking.  People  warning you "Don't talk abut merit trade or else you get banned"  "Mertis are not sold here because these are banned in the forum"
So what members think about the merit.  Had these not been banned whether they would have engaged in buying and selling?  I think whether it is banned or not ; but trading merit is immoral act which is supposed to give / receive for quality posts; .

I think there are some bad guys out there selling merits but after that one time selling there is no other ways to earn more not unless you do good quality posts. A merit worth dollars wont make any difference until you earn them by building yourself in here.
Sellers would not have enough merits to give for you to rank up. That is why as an advise just do good and learn more so that everything is worth your stay.

Well, it is been clear that merit is not for sales. Some could have got it paying small amounts, and it is not that simple to get merit and reach further levels of ranking. Better is to gain knowledge and share good information through the forum which will easily get merits.

First of all, are you sure that you even know what merit is? Merit is not a coin or anything similar, those are points needed to rank up and you get them if someone send you some for a good quality post. It is forbidden to sell it so you wont get any if you don't post some quality answers or threads.
