Hello folks
I was wondering what could be possible to improve the Altcoins Sections in general.

The actual system in place looks like that:
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins)
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) > Tokens (Altcoins)

The main board and the child board are separating ICO from ITO. Pretty confusing already, but a good way to make the forum less crowded and enhance readability. I like this separation, separating new architectures from tokens created on existing architecture is a good idea.

Maybe it would be nice to create more diversified child-boards based on token architecture
Something like that:
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins)
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) > ERC-20 (Altcoins)
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) > STELLAR (Altcoins)
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) > NEO (Altcoins)
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) > WAVES (Altcoins)
Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) > ETC...

So, what's your opinion on the situation in the Altcoins sections ?

All the best
Jey

Why should anyone care? The only reason we have an altcoin section in the first place is because altcoiners were polluting the main boards with their off-topic threads. After all, this forum is called Bitcoin Talk, not Altcoin Talk. As far as I'm concerned, they deserve to wallow in the mess they've created for themselves, and if they want a better place to discuss their ideas, they can go and create their own forum. The fact that they're too lazy to do so says something about the worthlessness of their projects.

Hello folks
I was wondering what could be possible to improve the Altcoins Sections in general.

It's too broad a section, problem is one same topic is being created and spammed across same 20 topics, duplicates, piling up. And also no beginners for alt, should I join bounties, what is ICO, how to participate in airdrops, and all these get responded with volumes of spam.

Going through alts, there would be more than 20 threads between the 40 alt forum pages, Bitcoin vs Ethereum, EOS vs ETH, NEO vs ADA, 4:1.

Report the duplicate threads. A new thread with the same topic, but with better inputs and genuinely concerned about responses than the spam one's, report and get the duplicates locked/trashed.

While I doubt that your proposition will be considered, I would say it isn't that bad, the main problem is the ERC-20 sub will be full and the others will be quite empty..
