Hi everyone,
Here's the issue: I've been mining for months without any issues, and now NH will detect and benchmark both my 1080Ti, but will use unit 0 only, no matter how much I mess with default_command_file.json
Here are some relevant details:
- Every other miner (ccminer, claymore etc.) will use both GPUs and run for days flawlessly.
- SLI works perfectly on games.
- Launching excavator+web+restart_script.bat both GPUs will work and perform as expected,
- In Mining Details I can tick only Unit 1 (the one that doesn't work anyway) Unit 0 is always selected.
And here's some technical details worth mentioning:
- The issue started after a few crashes with my old PSU. It was insufficient. Now I have a Corsair HX1200.
- I occasionally get some "Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware"
- I tried the most common workarounds for the aforementioned warning, but alas to no avail.
If I completely delete the GPUs from Device Manager and let Windows 10 reload standard drivers, NH will use both GPUs, but standard drivers will give me plenty of issues, like stuttering videos and games, and mouse pointer lags. Not acceptable with 2x $950 GPUs. I used DDU to delete the drivers from my machine and install the latest 2 versions from clean, and the problem with NH reappears.
I'm at my wit's end. My machine works perfectly with everything else, it would gut me to have to reinstall Windows for such a single item.
