It wasn't theirs to begin with. So they don't lose anything.

Are these people anti-piracy groups? Since when does a price drop mean that you lost real money? The only time you are ever entitled money is if you actually sold a product, sorry guys, I'm just reminded of the logic used to fine people for uploading being used here.

Max Keiser said in his video back in January that he would be willing to buy the bitcoins from the FBI for $80 million when the price was between $950 to $1000 range. He further states

Does Max even have that kinda money?

The Bitcoins will probably be back to their original worth or maybe more by the time they flog them.

Haha, they're practically worthless now. I wonder if he dumped them all at £20 each.

Apparently he has a million Bitcoins though I haven't seen anything confirming that for sure, he was saying he's a Bitcoin millionaire.

I think he means he has bitcoins worth a million in fiat. But perhaps not.  ;-)

I think he made that "bitcoin millionaire" claim sometime early last year.. so max is definitely a bitcoin multi millionaire since he was telling people to buy when the price was $5 only

The point was is that when the FBI got their so called "approval" to sell the bitcoins the price of bitcoin was hovering between 950-1000 and the media was making a huge deal about how the fbi and the us treasury has lost faith in bitcoin... but max made the claim that they won't sell.. and they didn't sell just as he predicted.

since they never sold any bitcoin.. they have to be looking at their "wallet" going down in value as the price plunged.. i'm pretty sure max would still be willing to buy all their bitcoins and he has the money to back up his claims too

This title is inaccurate and misleading. They didn't lose ANY dollar amount in Bitcoin.

If you have 144,336 bitcoins and you still have 144,336 bitcoins, have you lost money? No.

If you obtain 144,336 bitcoins for free, and the value of those coins is greater than or equal to zero, have you lost money? No.

Max Keiser said in his video back in January that he would be willing to buy the bitcoins from the FBI for $80 million when the price was between $950 to $1000 range. He further states

Does Max even have that kinda money?

Apparently he has a million Bitcoins though I haven't seen anything confirming that for sure, he was saying he's a Bitcoin millionaire.

I don't think anyone has millons of Bitcoins except maybe Satoshi. When people say they're a Bitcoin millionaire they just mean they've got millions of fiat worth of Bitcoins.

Max Keiser holds about 25,000 BTC, he admitted as much on a London interview.

Well there are 25,000 reasons not to trust what he says. But, in all honesty, if you try to look past the thoroughly repugnant, insecure, self promoting, showboating personality, he is very intelligent, and mixes in a few grains of very good points with the bag of russian state propaganda!
