Bitcoin is already 9yrs old.  ETH is only 3yrs old?  Look at the progress,  ETH might bypass BTC someday.

The duration of time does not really matter. Lets not forget that cryptocurrency has faced and still facing FUD and majority of it falls on bitcoin because it has existed far beyond altcoin. This singular factor is possible to have contributed to why bitcoin didn't see much growth until late 2016, early and late 2017.

Perhaps, if etheruem has existed as at when bitcoin came up, just maybe it couldn't have survived. Maybe etheruem is riding on the glory of bitcoin.

It is either we use all small ERC20 tokens for the future to carry out transactions or keeping a ledger or we simply use Bitcoin for all or ethereum for all with xRapid underlying the whole transaction mechanism.

Etherum has a solid use case as many good and shit projects launched their business in its platform. This makes etherum a force to reckon with but I do not think that etherum would overtake bitcoin to be the leader and the future in cryptocurrency as their are many etherum competitors that are existing as well

Yes, at the rate of popularity on ETF, our coins will definitely benefits and hugely should they be allowed on there. If they will be on ETF it would be another wave or ramp over crypto all over again and that is a good thing for us.

I wanted to bring into the discussion if there are many good projects under the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20 tokens) that have a potential for the future, wouldn't ETH become super important since it is what you pay as a transaction fee.

I do agree that Ethereum smart contracts is one of the best technology out there as evident of almost ICO using that platform.

I know there are many shit-projects under the Ethereum blockchain, but I am not worried about those, because we (the users of crypto) will figure that out and simply not use them. But every now and then a great project arises that can give a lot of value to making solutions in the world. Just wanted to hear your opinion on this.

But that's the problem, its like 10% of the project being born at legit however, only a few has real life usage. And the rest either duplicate or not a unique so it will eventually died out and purely for pump-and-dump purpose or likely a scam ICO.

What transactions exactly are you talking about? Do you mean ICOs and Bounties, because ETH is what’s normally being used in those kind of projects etc. But that’s not even a reason for ETH to take over, number one will always be the number one.

Ethereum and the rest of these altcoins like they are called are just alternatives for Bitcoin but they are not the main. And when we are talking about cryptocurrency the main thing we talk about is Bitcoin and nothing else.

And if we give a look at the reason behind the present fall of not only ethereum but almost the whole digital market, it will become clear to us that bitcoin is not making any progress. Now that, if BTC is not moving forward, how can ETH? Ethereum’s recovery entirely depends on bitcoin. Once it will recover, the whole digital market will go green from red.

Ethereum will not take a significant part of the market in the future,
It has many limitations and downturns: only 19 tps, long confirmation time and fees at every step.
Such projects as EOS are already overcoming ETH at all aspects.
Check blocktivity.info. EOS already takes more than 50% of all transacitons. A couple of months ago Ether took around 30%, and now it's 4 times smaller.

There are so many token now that created under the ethereum blockchain. Some of which are shitcoin that have no future for cryptocurrency. I don't thing ethereum is the only coin to handle all of this. There are now tokens that uses another platform in their operation. Some newly created project are basing smart contract to compete ethereum blockchain.

Indeed, I also agree that ETH will not become the king, we all know that the future will be Bitcoin, because the gap of its price to the other coins are too much, and also it affects other coins when its price moves. And true indeed, Bitcoin is well-known, it's advertise, unlike other coins.

In crypto, there are many possibility for being chosen as investment.
But when some altcoin have high value, it means that people have interest on it.
As we can see, ETH become top 2 in coincapmarket so it's just a matter of time that it will reach first place

You might be right to some extent but this theory of yours will be proves completely when the prices of Bitcoin are high and projects still prefer eth over Bitcoin.

Actually you are right lack of good projects impels ethereum inferior 300$. Most part of investors consider that ethereum is being manipulated by whales now but I think there are much more objective reasons why ethereum is so weak. You have noticed  brilliantly that there are almost no worth projects which use ethereum and, of course, it is effecting on ethereum badly. I really hope this situation will be changed in the better way soon, maybe in the autumn when people come back from vacations. Anyway I have invested in ethereum and I consider 300$ or even lower is a very low price where investors should buy ethereum

There is a bigger chance that ETH will be the future of all crypto if its purpose is the same as bitcoin which is a digital money. I was using coins.ph wallet in storing all my coins like BTC, ETH, BCH, and RIPPLE. I tried once to pay bills over the internet using ETH instead of BTC. But for some reasons, I can't use ETH instead PHP and BTC are the only available options to be used in paying bills. I'm looking forward that someday ETH will be used also as a digital money more than its original used as a platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications.
