Bitcoin is already 9yrs old.  ETH is only 3yrs old?  Look at the progress,  ETH might bypass BTC someday.

At this point, ETH technology can be much more developed than all the coins in the market, but people still choose Bitcoin because of this cradle of the market and the king of Cryptocurrency. Obviously, their would be shit projects build on the etherum blockchain but that wouldn't make etherum less of what it is. Etherum would remain one of the best cryptocurrency in the crypto industry. The technology is great and the adoption is massive in my own opinion.

For any ICO's that are created in todays date wont necessarily need to have ETH as the payment solutions. Now the time has changed and people can literally buy the ICO tokens during the ICO phase with other crypto currencies too as well as with Fiat too. May be this has divided the whole thing and thus ETH is not the preferred system to pay anymore as people know that Gwei fees and Gas fees are too high at the time of ICO sales. So we cat truly say that it is helping the ETH platform in anyways for that purpose.

This is very true, but after buying it your transaction cost is in ETH. Let's make an example. Over 20 years, there are a lot more ERC20 Tokens, this will keep the mining of ETH and the consumption of ETH in balance. Therefore, it will become a stable crypto that the people keep in equilibrium. This is just my stance, but of course there are other cryptos like NEO in the game that do more or less the same.

Your point is quite relevant. But Bitcoin is the topmost cryptocurrency in the crypto market and has the highest market capitalization. Ethereum, no doubt, is the second highest crypto currency after Bitcoin but its market capitalization is far less than Bitcoin. The difference between the market capitalizations of both the coins is huge and I don’t think so that a small transaction fee can eliminate that difference.

I used to have the same idea but not anymore. The sad truth is that shit projects will remain there and people will continue to invest and buy things that they know nothing about because a random ico rating site gave a high score for that coin or their favorite youtuber spoke about it. so when you say ""figure out and simply not use them"" I honestly don't know what you're talking about because unless people get educated, they'll keep using them.

I wanted to bring into the discussion if there are many good projects under the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20 tokens) that have a potential for the future, wouldn't ETH become super important since it is what you pay as a transaction fee.

I know there are many shit-projects under the Ethereum blockchain, but I am not worried about those, because we (the users of crypto) will figure that out and simply not use them. But every now and then a great project arises that can give a lot of value to making solutions in the world. Just wanted to hear your opinion on this.

There are number of ICO under ETH blockchain and some become scam which decline it's value and public image but still it has potential to be one of the most profitable and valuable altcoin in future as many institutions will accept it as payment system under blockchain technology. With improved technology and new developments it's issues will be solved. The transactions fees are low but it's not a major point because still btc has its importance and faith in huge mass which cannot be underestimated and more investment will be made boosting it's price. So there can be competition between both these top most coins.

Progress based on value or market cap? It is a big space and for sure ETH could somehow bypass BTC but do not forget ETH also have some competition to deal with. It is a good thing that ETH is maximally used for smart contracts and the birth of tokens will always give it a good boost but as it is, any token can always get to rebrand anyways if you know what I mean.

ERC20 tokens are running only on the Ethereum Blockchain and in order for them to be transferred, you must use ETH. There are some ERC20 tokens that have a potential for the future. Don't need to say because they are in the coinmarketcap already. It is not that super important for ETH because yeah you will buy ETH for your tokens to be transferred but take note that ETH has no maximum supply.

There are many ERC20 tokens that has potential but there are many shitcoins too and let them be. Don't worry about the shitcoins because it will waste your time. But really we don't use them in our daily life and chance of happening for now is really low so we are just using them for bump and dump.Maybe these tokens will have real life usage when all the people move to the crypto currency payment method but until that their developers will support that project?

This isn’t about eth only. Rather almost every coin that is being transacted in this time, have got some shit projects that are just waste. You can’t just share your investment in there because it is solid loss for you. Why we lose money in such projects that doesn’t have anything interesting. You have to become so strongly condemn such projects and make sure you are selecting right ones.

I don't think that ethereum is the future of cryptocurrencies and we can see that most of the scammers are using ethereum contract to create scam tokens.  This is actually affecting ethereum and it will ever remains limited because of this.  Another thing that I think will affect ethereum is the dominant of bitcoin on the market.

Wouldn't you say that when people realize they are a scamcoin they leave the project? Think projects like bitconnect... People leave the useless projects and move to things they think work, rinse and repeat
