Gigabyte 990fxa - ud3
1475w thermaltake toughpower 80+ gold
850 seasonic 80+ bronze
5x msi r9 280x
Powered risers
Athlon II
12gb RAM
250GB HD
Windows 7 ultimate

It was a fresh installation. After windows 7 installation, all GPU can be seen but with exclamation mark on 4 of them, then i installed the driver that comes with the motherboard then i needed to reboot. After rebooting windows wont pass through the pulsating windows logo and stuck up and only hard reboot can make it stop. After i turn it on, it says i need system repair, so i did. But the drivers i previously got removed again. Everytime that i install a display driver it keeps stucking on start up.

Try the AMD Catalyst 13.12

I have that board and didn't install the drivers that came with it. Did you disable on the BIOS, everything not needed for mining?

I don't really remember now the hardware the UD3 has (also have an Asrock 970 Extreme4), but sound, firewire, serial, 2nd SATA controller, perhaps USB3 and so on. Don't neglect uninstalling the motherboard drivers, wasn't after that install that Windows started to halt?

People here give like 1001 opinions about OS that is best for mining.  Grin

The only one that I have used as plug&play is LitecoinBAMT.

You can "burn" it on your 2Gb Usb-stick, modify cgminer.conf just like in windows.
Then modify bamt.conf so that the number of gpus match the number of gpus in your system,
its simple -> just change "1" to "0" and save.
Insert it to your rig and start fire up. After few minutes it should start mining automatically.
You would want to install xrdp -an remote desktop software that enables you to manage your rig
from different pc in your home.
You won't need even an display for your rig. But a display that you could be moved to your rig if needed
is recommended since if the system BIOS doesn't understand that the OS is in usb-stick.
You can't remote access your rig if the OS haven loaded.

Search for litecoin bamt and you will find even more detailed and simplified directions to guide you.
