What is wrong with them? Bitcoin has gained so much acceptance and attention, and they turn a blind eye.

I have donated to them a few times and have contacted them about Bitcoin but never got a reply I don't understand why it's free money and they would be profiting a whole lot in the future.

Neither EFF is accepting them, which is even more worrysome.

It's always fun when they put up those "personal appeal" banners.

They do:
https://supporters.eff.org/donate

They stopped accepting them in June 2011, and resumed accepting them in May 2013:
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2011/06/eff-and-bitcoin
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2013/05/thank-you-bitcoin-community

I don't donate because Wikipedia is not collaborative at all, at least in my language's section. It's dominated by political views, it's ridiculous that some admins and arbitrators have a political party logo on their profile page.

I also do not understand why they won't accept BTC donations.
I'm sure they'd benefit a lot from it.

They would benefit from it hugely.  They probably don't want to be seen as endorsing it.

What the hell does "endorsing it" even mean?  By accepting euros an organization isn't assenting to the sociopolitical/fiscal policies of the European Union.  By accepting a donation, all they are doing is acknowledging that said currency is worth money.

Lots of people have emailed them that already. Doesn't seem to be making much difference.

That's a interesting logic, so anyone that is accepting paypal for payments, is endorsing paypal?

That's not the logic of the masses though. At the moment they think Bitcoin is for drug dealers, child pornographers and tax evaders even though fiat is more widley abused for that sort of stuff, but they'll just keep believing the media slander,

There has got to be a politcal reason that they don't accept bitcoin donations.  I haven't looked into this at all, but who owns wikipedia, or who sponsors it?
