I was wondering if we have people who do sportsbetting or poker for living here , or at least people who are betting and profitable ( not just betting for the fun)
basically I'm thinking about creating a telegram group that have profitable and professional bitcoin gamblers here so we can share thoughts , opportunities , info resources , arbitrage opportunities  and ideas about good tipsters

if I find some people interested and good I will create the group today or tomorrow

Interesting but how about those tipsters that has their own thread here? sharing their tips/picks. I'm considering them as professional gamblers (or not really but they are good), they won't share their tips if the accuracy is low.

Good luck with the idea Sy.

the majority of them don't have a calculation about how much they profited or lost with their picks , so no you can't consider them professional they may actually be losing money
when I talk about tipsters I talk about tipsters that have detailed stats about their performance over large sample ( like at least 1000 picks ) and these tipsters aren't shy to share their past results ( actually you shouldn't even consider following tipster unless you have clear data and information about how he did in the past ) and sadly the majority of the tipsters here aren't doing that

I don't dig all of them and I thought most of them are working as a tipster with their entire life and that gave me an enlightenment with what they are really are.

Thanks!

( actually you shouldn't even consider following tipster unless you have clear data and information about how he did in the past )
Followed one or two of them before but that was years ago and I can barely remember who that guy is but he seem to be good and I thought he's doing it as his job.

I checked stake's forum with their poker and sports betting discussion but it's not really active at all.

The tipsters are not professional gamblers if you ask me. They are trying to make a steady income flow from the tipster work they are doing in order divide the risk element of gambling.

If I knew that I would be getting X amount of money for sure and I can gamble with the rest I would have become someone known in betting world as well. Also betting is not the only way of gambling. You can't be "professional dice player", its pure luck, maybe poker but those people out grow bitcoin space and go into stuff like pokerstars.

a part of them yes , they aren't professional and they aren't even porfitable sometimes so they do what they do just to have some referrals or get a fixed income from newbies
but that doesn't mean that all tipsters are like this , there are several professional ones that make a living by just betting

There are many gamblers who post on forums like this one:

https://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/

Some there travel regularly to Vegas somewhat regularly and have a lot of experience(there is also a crypto currency sub section).

I have seen people create their own forums or usergroups where they invited other gambling professionals to participate in the hope of gaining some advantage from it. It has never worked as far as I can tell. There are normally 1 or 2 people who are good @ gambling. Everyone else is unreliable most of the time and offer untrustworthy picks / advice.

IMO its best if everyone makes their own selections and plays. In some cases feedback or 2nd opinions can actually diminish the quality of someone's game. Less could be more sometimes.

Not for a living but I play poker regularly and I make extra money. I used to make way more money back in 2013, it was much easier, and I was unemployed, so I had more hours to play.

Nowadays I play less and less because the field gets harder every year and other benefits keep being cut, like rakeback, and I’ve reached a point where I’ve thought of leaving poker completely, but I will still play from time to time while it gives me money.

I think it's a good idea to create a group for all gamblers talk in 1 group, please count me in if you already create the telegram group. I'm interested to join the group, this kind of group is good for sharing opportunities, a lock bet, a good bet, tips like reddit sportsbook. I'm not a professional gamblers but a hardcore gambler, is it okay to join?

Do you make money long-term? That's the main point:

Yes, why not? I guess I'll have to install Telegram first, lol!

Are there more people who meet the requirements interested? I don't see many on this thread.

the thing is that I want to have only profitable people who can contribute , it's not like normal chatting about gambling but rather sharing good stuffs that can benefit all
if you want a general group where you see people sharing picks and chat I can recommend you this group that Theo Goodman owns

I do gamble sometimes and this idea is pretty cool. We all want to become profitable every time we gamble aside from the fun of course, so if there's a group like this I would like to join so I can have greater strategies from the professional gamblers in this forum. I hope any rank can join as long as you're doing gambling.  Cheesy

Like Don Pedro Dinero, I've also played poker professionally a few years ago, so might be interested in joining a group like this.
Don't play too much poker nowadays, but I still gamble on other types of games.

Looking to learn more about sports betting too.

While the idea is nice I haven't seen any big professional gambler out here, all I see newbies coming and posting tips and then they disappear, then there're some tipsters thread honestly never even opened them, I prefer to rely on my gut then what they post, why not keep the group here, you could open a self moderated thread and many could take advantage of it, not all will come to telegram just a suggestion.

well yeah , I'm not inviting for people to follow other guys blindly but it would be nice to see professional gamblers here as well
the point is to discuss different matters , not only following what the other guys say and maybe sharing some arbitrage in case one of the guys find it

Most of the arbitrage opportunities I know of were misprints or typos. An example of this is the Yankees being a +400 underdog with the Astros being -500 favorites on one book and another book accidentally reversing the odds with the Astros being +400 underdogs and the Yankees being -500 favorites. That would make it easy for someone to arbitrage bet $100 on the Yankees as +400 underdogs on one book and $100 on the +400 Astros on another book to guarantee they profit no matter which team wins.

I think those types of bets are normally not honored and would be cancelled.

There are hedge bets available off of betting props. Parlays/accumulators can be another form of hedging.

Pure arbitrage could be a bit rare in betting afaik. I'm not certain you would ever find one but good luck.   Smiley

If you share some ideas what gambling sites should use, how to pick the odds and how much invest intially and intermediate means it will be helpful buddy.

no not necessarily mate , there are still plenty of valid opportunities that you can find but you need to dig it hard that's why sharing such info in group can be helpful

anyways for people who are interested just create telegram and PM me so I can add you
