Click-Storm and DeStream platforms for gamers became partners

The online eSports tournament platform Click-Storm and the first decentralized financial ecosystem for streamers DeStream have entered into a partnership. In the nearest future, both projects plan their services integration, a number of joint projects and even an online tournament for users of both platforms. In the long term, we hope to include a payment service for donators from DeStream to the Click-Storm platform, so that everyone will be able to support the tournament, participant or team with DST tokens.

Why does DeStream choose Stratis blockchain?

To understand the choice of technologies we take as a basis for our platform we need to describe an ecosystem we are building. We are designing the first decentralized global financial ecosystem for streamers aiming to simplify all the additional operations a streamer needs to implement while executing his or her work (except the streaming and content creation on their own). It will support sophisticated add-ons for streamers, viewers and advertisers, that will allow advertisers to reach streamers services, viewers to request more diversified actions from streamers, and streamers to get the revenue from both categories with much fewer commissions and efforts than they had before. The technology that helps to get rid of mediators and due to it reduce the expenses lies in the blockchain. That is why it was crucial to make a right decision.

Exploring different kinds of blockchain technologies, we’ve opted to Stratis blockchain that is expecting a rewritten consensus taking into account the microtransactions distribution and other features of the project’s architecture. Further, we will explain our choice.

We have analyzed all the public blockchain platforms that currently exist on the market and come up with a conclusion that application of Ethereum-based blockchain and ERC20 protocol is ineffective in our case because of several reasons. First, if there is a heavy traffic like we had in December, the cost of a transaction will exceed $1. The average transaction in our project equals $1–2. So, the commission at $1–2 in addition to the amount of the average transaction is disadvantageous. Second, we are not quite sure about the appropriateness of the token exchange scheme that implies ERC20 token minting and then one more token is supposed to be issued in the internal blockchain network. That’s why we have deliberately withdrawn from the idea to have two tokens and double listings in favor of one coin that will be minted on our blockchain.

Stratis blockchain fits our project due to the following several reasons:

1. It is an open charge-free platform which is available with a free license.

2. Stratis is written in C# with modified consensus based on Bitcoin network that means Stratis has an identical interface with bitcoin. Since every platform has integration with Bitcoin network all the problems connected with listing disappear automatically. Most of the top platforms support Stratis blockchain.

3. Our team has a great 10-years experience in development of large platform solutions based on C++, C Sharp, .Net coding languages. So, in our case, Stratis helps to reduce the development costs.

4. Stratis was the only team that turned to be very responsive and helpful in the implementation of the project and its technical parts. Stratis specialists actively answered our questions and supported us even at a stage when we have not made our choice yet.

Thus, Stratis is the optimal blockchain technology for our company. We like the company that clearly understands the value of projects for people because all infrastructure innovations made just for infrastructures improvement with no advantages for the target audience involved will not last long. Moreover, we really like that the Stratis team implement its roadmap accurately and in time and we hope to stick to the same strategy.

What is DeStream? Who are your competitors?
DeStream is the first decentralized global financial ecosystem for streamers. Currently, there is no single financial and utilitarian ecosystem for streaming platforms through which streamers and viewers could perform the full range of appropriate actions. We do not see any direct competitors at the moment, as our ecosystem combines more functions that many similar platforms combined. Our platform is not an analogue of Twitch or YouTube, it is a platform, where users and streamers can interact directly for the great aim of creating high quality content and nurturing talent.

Why would streamers choose destream?
The commission fees on streaming platforms can be as high as 10%, whereas we aim to reduce commissions on our platform to 0.77%. This will have a direct effect on increasing streamers’ incomes, thus attracting them to work through our platform. They will move from using numerous wallets and paying commissions to using only one wallet built into our platform. The wallet will later be directly connected to a bank card, thus facilitating the withdrawal of funds. From 20 to 22 May, the Radisson Blu Resort hosted a crypto conference d10e, which brought together the main players of the blockchain industry. Anar Mekhtiev, a co-founder of the DeStream project, also visited sunny Malta to present our ecosystem for streamers.
