Suspiciously similar whois to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=470053.0

I'd suspect same scammer(s) involved.

I smell scam a lot... and it stinks as fuck. Their hashrate is WAY too good to be true. KNC hasn't even released a miner that mines so quickly.

Total scam.

Never pre-order from these kinds of sites, unless you want to pre-order a fancy CGI render.

Total scam.

Never pre-order from these kinds of sites, unless you want to pre-order a fancy CGI render.

You call that a fancy render? Looks more like a speaker with a logo photoshopped (maybe MS painted) on top.

My favorite part: 15TH Power consumption: 2475 watt (0.165 per GH) (wow 5 times as efficient as KNC 20nm!)

Don't forget overclocking (what kind of power supply does this thing have? 5000W?)

In all seriousness nobody actually believes this shit right? Scammers are getting lazy.

I'd like to believe it's true and that they really will deliver a machine as quoted .... But ...

I sent them a long email full of questions a few days back and haven't heard from them yet. It'll be interesting to see what they reply or even if they do.

You had a good idea of posting before buying because you would've lost money. This is a scam. All their miners are the same and it doesn't even look like a miner. The other indicator is that they display their prices in btc which no mining company would do because bitcoin is too volatile curently. Just think that the price of btc would go at 100$? Would they leave their prices in btc?

Due to the large number of orders and inquiries, we decided to offer escrow payment in near future.
Until then, all products are discounted by 50% as a reward for all the clients who will trust us.

This is the email I sent to them ... I have had a reply from them and I'm happy with what they have told me as it fits with what I know about doing business in China with Chinese. That doesn't mean I am ready yet to part with any BTC though, I will remain cautious for the moment.

Greetings from New Zealand.
There have been many new mining products introduced into the market
over the last 6-12 months. Without exception all of the machines
introduced into the market have been delivered late and all of them
under perform from the quoted specifications.
There have also been several companies that have been setup with the
deliberate intention of defrauding people of their money. There was
never machines developed or delivered and lots of money was stolen
away. It appears that http://www.xtrememiners.net/ is the most recent of
these.
People are afraid.
Your machines sound to good to be true. The hash rates you are quoting
compared to the power consumption is far ahead of any other
manufacturers claims. This alone gives people the impression of
unreality and creates a belief that these machines are not possible
and investing money with you will result in them losing out.
This belief is not helped by you not accepting a fully traceable money
transaction ... A USD or other currency bank transfer. As you well
know the owner of a BTC wallet can be completely anonymous and even
ficticious.
Your terms of trade expressly ruling out refunds unless you do not
deliver also sounds less than desirable.
Couple all of these things with your location, China and it is not
surprising that already your validity is being brought into question.
If you wish to dispel these myths and be recognised as a genuine
manufacturer that does intend to deliver on it's promises, it would be
very wise of you to show that you have got working product now by
posting pictures and preferably video of your machine on the
bitcointalk forum, youtube or vimeo and making them accessible for
people to see.
Selecting beta testers and supplying them with machines to test would
also benefit your case.
I do hope you find my suggestions helpful and that you are a genuine
bona-fide company that is intending to deliver on your promises.
At the moment your machines would be the most advanced available.
Yours Sincerely

Scam? 1btc for 1th/s....

 Huh Huh Huh Huh

http://minerscube.com/shop/

Appears to have all the hallmarks of a scam, so be careful.

20nm chips - KNC hasn't even delivered these chips yet.
Discount for trust - a 50% discount on asic hardware in a prime market?
Escrow - Which escrow?

I'd steer clear, too much doesn't add up.  Too many of these shops offering hardware are appearing and taking BTC and running.

Since none of the IP's are connecting with China, this has nothing to do with some guys in China.
If it was real, then why they need an IP from Ziggo in the Netherlands for their email??
So when you think you are robbed, call the police in Groningen, and let them ask Ziggo for the name and adress of the ADSL customer behind the IP 94.213.222.162

>> you can also ask Ziggo for a "Notice and take-down" form....

Thanks for posting that information.
I have copied it and sent it to Feng who is the person that has replied to my email and I'll let you know what reply I receive.
Meantime in the interest of full disclosure, here is the reply I've received to far ...

Hi Michael, thank you for interesting in our products and your very informative message.

Sorry for delay (we are flooded with tons of emails).

I will try to explain everything as precisely as possible.

We are located in Beijing in China. This was a tough decision for us.
Provide data or not. We decided to
not, and here I will try to explain you why.

First of all and the most important:

Our technology is very innovative. We used lot of things that is not used by any other company.
We cannot give you our exact location. We are afraid that someone would steal our projects or even ready made devices.

Another thing is that today only couple manufactures are able to make 20 nm ASIC chips. It is very hard to find it and even harder to get really fast production deadline. Thats the reason why we do not want to share it with anybody. This is really big money in the game, so just please, understand us.

Third, but also important. Most of us are working in public sector. Here in China we cannot work in any other job, and have our own company. We cannot also resign from our jobs because on our university we have all the tool we need to build our Minerscube (and we are hiding that we are using public tools to build, develope and test Minerscube). This is tough situation for us, but we try to make everything to satisfy our customers.
We know, that we could sell our products at a much higher price, but we decided that risk is too big and this is the price we pay for it.

If this project will end with success (and as for now everything is going that way), we will begin to be officially as an independent entity.

To be honest in 2014 and 2015 we plan to incerase network hashrate for over 150 PH/s. We believe that we can be the biggest mining hardware company in the world. We want to provide new level of culture in this business. We believe that people deserve to get unused (except testing
purposes) devices and in time.
Also we can tell that every minning device available on current market is overpriced. So stay in touch.
You will hear about us again!

P.S. The most trustful company now KnCMiners. In their first days of life they was insulting by almost everyone as scammers etc. untill they did not deliver their firs device. We hope the same will be in our case. More, we are sure about this.

Regards.
Feng.
