Here's another thread about CoinPot that seems to be filled with mostly negative reviews of the site and a lot of ranting, though there are some in the thread that say CoinPot works perfectly as it's supposed to as a micropayments processor.

I would advise you to stay away from CoinPot for now- mixed reviews aren't great, especially in crypto services, and at the least they don't seem to have very responsive support. Try to use faucets that don't use CoinPot as a processor for payments, and if you're ever unsure about a processor being legit, just Google if something is legit. It takes seconds to find out a site is a scam 90% of the time.

The reviews/discussion are really, really mixed. It seems like a lot of users are getting suspended for unclear reasons/"cheating", which is usually a pretty bad sign...

I had a 100% loyalty bonus since last October and never once did anything shady. They are scammers man...taking your money. Sorry. This is in their TOS.

It's worth mentioning that abuse is something these kind of websites deal with a lot.

I am fairly certain that most of the "they dont pay its scam" ranting you will see, are from people who attempted to abuse the system.

I've been using coinpot ever since the moon faucets switched to it as payment service. I have never deposited (only uses it to collect payments and do withdraws) but have withdrawn fairly large sums.

Personally, I do not think coinpot is a scam. I will however advise you to not use coinpot as a means of safe storage, but rather just let your faucet claims pile up and then convert & withdraw

Whether or not coinpot is a legit wallet for collecting faucets, I would heavily suggest that you look for other ways of monetization instead of using faucets. Faucets are a waste of time to start with. Though if you would like to carry on and try out doing faucets using coinpot, then go ahead. I would just heavily suggest that you withdraw the funds to your own wallet as much as possible, as so have seen on other replies that there were lots of complaints concerning withdrawals being canceled.

I don't know if they're real or a scam, I don't see the point of using that service. There is some information about weekly payouts, well that does seem like a scam if you're suppose to send them some money.

It is a micro-wallet meant as a way to collect faucet earnings in a single site, rather than having 2-5 different faucet balances that all have a min. withdraw which is usually hard to reach.

Using coinpot, you can convert btc earnings into Doge (or other coin), to combine them with other faucet earnings and reach withdraw limits easier.

If you don't see the point in this, then I believe your mistakenly extending your view on faucets to also reflect your views on faucet-related tools/services.

The website was registered in May 2017 (whois.com) and the traffic has been stable for the last 6 months (similarweb.com). These are the signs of a legit project.
However, their strategy is unclear. I'd better stay away and find another path for making money in crypto.

Microwallets are actually more common with faucets than you might think, see https://faucethub.io for example which receives over 30k unique users every day.

Also, your part about not having access to your private keys when using micro-wallets actually makes sense, if everyone would control their own keys, what would the purpose of the wallet be over a normal one?

(Edit: AFAIK, there really isn't such a thing as an individual adress on the microwallet service itself, thus it would even be impossible to give users access to their private keys, since they don't exist in the first place..)

Exactly, and while it is true you are not in control of the private keys, you are able to withdraw (even faster, with coinpots convert service) to a private key you do control. I personally convert to dogecoin, and usually withdraws to a gambling site to have some free fun. So in my case, i at most have 100 doge in an address i do not control before I withdraw. Minimum is 50 doge.

Of course, you should not store huge amounts with a micro wallet provider. The thing is, why would you?

I have an experience of using this microwallet when I was just starting and use coinpot as storage of those coins I get from faucets affiliated with them and yes it is legit, I was able to withdraw my cryptocurrency from coinpot. I saw some scam accusation about them but I don't know if it is true since I already stopped using this wallet. Why do you want to use this wallet? If you are planning to use it as a storage for you cryptocurrencies then forget about it because it is not safe. Not even worth it to use faucets but no one can stop you if you really want to try it.

Is there any thing you can remember why Coinpot suspended your account? I am curious on what "Click for more Details" will display.
Because in my experience, every withdrawal attempts (even slightly huge raffle winnings) that I've made always gone smoothly straight to my wallet.

Coinpot and Mellowads owned by the same guy. I can't remember exactly, but I think that first of all they released Moon faucets and Mellowads later. Last year all their faucets was merged into Coinpot service.

Users have deposit addresses on microwallets, so theorically it would be possible to give access to private keys. But microwallets isn't considered as a wallets because you can't move coins whenever you want, they only make weekly or daily payouts.
