I don't know if we can say it's the best but I trust my Ledger Nano. I have no reason to not to. Plus it's a Cocorico company so... I have never seen someone with his wallet "hacked" so far (without considering if a user didn't be careful with it) It depends on your needs to say what is your best wallet but no matter what are they, for sure the web-based wallets are the last one to use with the exchanges

An open source wallet that give you control over your private keys. A wallet that doesn't give one of these things shouldn't be used, at least not for storing large amounts.
Of course, when it comes to security then there is nothing better then a hardware wallet since desktop/phone wallet are safe as long as your device is not infected.

What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust?
Trust is an issue. It depends on your own taste and preference. Basically hardware wallets are the one that must be considered for long term storage. Hit search for it. But since I always do trades, I literally risking my funds from several exchanges for less hassle execution of my trades. What are those exchanges? It varies and we have might different views and experienced to it so I will leave this to you as your assignment. The security of out wallet depends on how will you keep it secured. You really need to test some of them on actual and see if it will meet your criteria of giving them trust.

For me, I think only hardware wallet is the best and trusted wallet nowadays but based on my own experienced I'm using coinomi wallet never had any issue using this wallet and I use this wallet for receiving mined coins and save it for many months before I send it to exchanges to sell my coins and I think this is good only as alternative wallet just don't put all your cryptocurrency in one basket and if you holding a large amount of coins better to use a hardware wallet like ledger nano s for your coins safety. But so far I trust coinomi wallet.

Electrum to use as hot wallet in my phone. Ledger Nano as cold wallet Paper wallet for even better security and long term holding - ofcourse proper protection against water and fire needed Blockchain wallet to use occasionally when I am on desktop Avoid using other web wallets and third party apps that claim to be bitcoin wallet but they are just payment processors like coinbase, xapo etc.

What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust?
Why choose to trust a hosted bitcoin wallet like Coinbase, when you are able to have complete control over your funds trustlessly with wallets with which you hold your private keys exclusively with? You don't even need to sync the entire blockchain with most of them. My suggestion would definitely be Electrum, as it is one of the most widely used wallets, you hold your own private keys, it's open source, it's been around for a long time, and it's very user friendly on the UI side. There would be no point using a hosted wallet in any scenario unless you're exchanging BTC for fiat, in my opinion, because you don't hold your bitcoins anymore when you deposit funds into a hosted wallet. Rather, you hold an IOU that the wallet service writes you. Then, there would be absolutely no point using bitcoin anymore.

The thing with such discoveries is that people only know about them when these vulnerabilities are known to exist. You can't protect yourself against that, because you as noob (not you personally but in general terms) have to rely on others to find these vulnerabilities for you. If nothing is found, you will keep using them as if they are safe while in reality they're not. Considering that Electrum fixed everything, it is almost as 'safe' as any other solid wallet client out there. I'm using it on a daily basis and it works perfectly fine. As for now bitcoin core is the one you can trust cent percent. I assume you mean that you can trust the core wallet client 100%? Nope. Software written by humans can't ever be 100% safe. Forget about that. The only thing is that the more capable the developers are, the less likely it is for them to overlook something; the core developers definitely hold a massive advantage here.

What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust?
Any wallet that lets you hold your privkeys, and has a decent history. It could be a hardware wallet like Ledger, or it could be a paper wallet that contains an encrypted private key of yours that you throw in a safe somewhere. It could even be a open soucre desktop wallet client like bitcoin core or electrum, they are all pretty safe. They're not perfectly trust-less as people have said, but they are definitely way better than centralised providers. The thing is that the chances of you getting hacked through one of these wallets is much lower than the chance of a centralised wallet service suspending your account or facing regulatory pressure to freeze your account balance, or simply going insolvent. Bitcoin's primary selling point is decentralisation and trustlessness. Use this to your advantage, and use wallets with which you hold your own funds with instead of having to trust a third party.

Never tried hardware wallet, is it linked to a website I do not know how even that works ... same like paper wallets ? In the case of Ledger, you conduct payment using an app that Ledger has created, and in the event that Ledger somehow goes out of business, you can simply take the seed that you're supposed to write down and convert the BIP39/44 seed to a privkey and import the privkey- you then have a normal wallet. Some wallets also directly support the ledger wallet, so you don't even need to download any special Ledger software to use the wallet. The same applies for Trezor. I personally keep two multiple Ledger Nanos and multisig paper wallets for best security, and I have also left instructions to access my BTC and alts in case I suddenly die; I feel leaving instructions to access BTC after you're dead is extremely important, as it is possible your BTC can just be lost forever after you die if you don't.

I currently using electrum and i trust it, since i don't have problem with electrum. I use exodus too for storing some altcoin. For mobile, i use mycelium and coinomi for altcoin and i really trust them. However, i want to move to hardware wallet for better security, if i can.

I am using multiple wallets, electrum, coinomi and exodus but I think the safest And trustworthy of all is the paper wallet.
Like everything security is key and there are many things to consider even for paper wallets, like storage and renembering passwords and these all play a part is contributing to the safety of any wallet.

For someone who has an account as old as yours, where have you been? Held hostage in Beirut? Coinbase controls your keys. Localbitcoins controls your keys and is not a wallet. Almost anywhere else is better than those two. Buying a pre made paper wallet is pure suicide. Making your own is free and can be ultra secure if done right. Hardware wallets keep your private keys isolated from the internet. Their online interfaces allow you to sign with the keys without exposing them.

Yes downloading the core wallet needs high spec system so it is not suitable for everyone and it will disturb the basic quality of cryto currencies that we can send and receive it from anywhere. For now I am using electrum but it is not 100% secured nor any,I never faced any problems yet.But if you are looking for multi coin wallet the hardware wallets are the best option for you.
