Hey.

I've been trying for days to buy about 10$ of bitcoin. All I have to pay with is a visa debit that I got for work as a paycheck card. I have no bank account (which means no coinbase.) And I cannot get VirWox to accept my card. Sad Any suggestions? I just want enough to mess around with. I like making physical wallets and bills and I wanted to test them with small amounts, possibly to give to my uninitiated friends and family. Smiley

Thanks for any advice, all.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Here is the best (and possibly the only) way: withdraw $10 from your card and use the cash to buy BTC face-to-face through LocalBitcoins.com.

+1 to odolvlobo's suggestion. It would be better for you find some cash trade near you in this case.

Get someone you trust to buy them for you and then pay them in cash?
