I don't think MatTheCat is a troll.
MatTheCat is an embittered 'early adopter' of Bitcoin, who never bothered actually holding on to any of the many dozens and even hundreds of single digit Bitcoins that passed through various wallet addresses on their way to Silk Road....but then he never really had an investors mentality up until only very recently, that was actually kicked into his head by the realisation that his 'indifference' to fiscal affairs (outwith the hackneyed old Gold Bug - Banker Debt paradigms and fairy stories), has prevented him from acting on a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Getting into Bitcoin very late, and having learned his lesson in believing in all the bullshit stories and paradigms that pervades the gold bug community, he was not going to make the same mistake with Bitcoin. MatTheCat got into Bitcoin as a speculator at a very dangerous late parabolic stage of the Bull market, milked it for what he could get out of it, and abandoned ship at the first sign of storms ahead, to a chorus of 'boos', mockery, and ridicule from the brain dead resident forum Bitcoin Nutters, who adhere to the Bitcoin religion and spread all the same bull shit stories and paradigms around with the same religious fanaticism as Gold Bug and Silver Stacker do/did, and I seen what happened to them.
Thus MatTheCat is a bear out of necessity, waiting on that sure-fire opportunity to hopefully become a bull again but at this point in time simply cannot take himself away from his bearish stance cos that is just the reality of the market at the time being. Yet there is a never ending supply of idiots who are calling the bottom all the way down from $1000, and ridiculing people who even suggest selling, as the price slips further and further down the scale. Thelema93 has as shockingly bad track record of this, worsened by the fact that he arrived on this forum right on the eve of Gox's crash from $900 down to the $200 ranges, advising everyone to hold, and reassuring everyone that all was in order with Gox, every step of the way down!
