No one knows on what they are really planning about the said news. If they are into making their own token that will be used for their platform, many will also invest on it.

I think they wait to release something before Telegram does. I believe Telegram will start to deliver the first results by the end of the year and it will be huge. Taking into account that most probably the market will be in an uptrend we will see big hype. The potential of Telegram in crypto overwhelms (I mean tech, not just marketing, they have the user base actually due to the technology).

The irony is that Pavel Durov before telegram implemented Vkontacte platform (most popular Russian social network) based on facebook idea. And to be honest it's more advanced that Fb, lol. Maybe Zuckerberg waits to take telegram's tokenization model and create something cool? I think telegram's usage of tokens will become best practice in the industry, will see

Btw, FB price chart right now. It's down after earnings. That's nearly $50 billion in market cap gone in minutes. These guys definitely needs to refresh business model. But don't think that blockchain technology will add great value, it's more like R&D for them.

From what i am read in many article, tokenization like in wall street will make peoples can invest in any amount. Tokenization securities can reducing cost and much easier for investor and company.
Tokenization in any bussiness sector will happen in the future i am believe because with tokenization, any bussiness can move more flexible and they can expand their bussiness with more easily

Any company, corporative, organization or industry that want to still exist in the next three to four decades have to incorporate tokenization through blockchain technology into their system in order to enjoy wider financial range and patronage.

I agree with you,there is already enough projects for gaming (Refereum...) .Also in my opinion the best application of the token economic model should be related to food,as we clearly see people are getting more aware of dangerous products used in the food processing industry and consumers would like to know from where their products is comming etc..

Dmarket is one of those that takes the gaming industry more convenient and going smooth. I have seen it on youtube that they support some popular games online with the tokenized function. Gaming industry has now on trend as the mobile industry can now handle games that can also be played oncomputers that is why I realize tokenization makes an important role in every blockchain related platforms or applications that can be useful to humans.

In my opinion best applications will be revealed in businesses with low liquidity model right now, for example real estate market or rentals, as I mentioned in the first post in this thread. But I don’t exactly understand how this tokens could be utility (representing unit of service) and not equites/shares (representing ownership). Here is the ambiguity.

Your assessment of the problem is very interesting and wonderful about the applications that cryptocurrency can bring to life, which is a fairly well-suited direction for many types of coins. The cryptocurrency market is very well appreciated and potential, but as the number of coins is getting more and more it makes me feel quite comfortable choosing the right coin to invest.

I think using of the token for project developments, internal currency and excellent way of putting investors sticky to the project are some of the characters which should be possessed by the tokens. Now a days many tokens are coming out as security tokens where they act as identity tokens, at some other place they might be acting as way of paying the fees and getting discounts over trading fees etc. So in short they are being used as utility tokens. I guess that is the best way of using them apart from for the purpose of buying and selling etc.

Like others have mentioned in this thread, the strongest application for tokenization would be the gaming industry. We so far had a free-to-play and pay-to-play system. However, the next step of the gaming world should be a play-to-earn system, and tokenization can play a huge role in this. There are several crypto coins that currently are trying to do this, and it will be very interesting to see how successful the companies can be going into the future. Having a decentralized gaming token in the future years is a must for the gaming industry to keep moving forward. However, this would contradict the original concept of having only one single token.

Guys, I agre on that. As many points out to gaming, it’s stupid to argue with the majority (on conceptual things - for practical tissues an insistence actually helps). But actually what is the social value? Gaming is an entertainment and it prospers without decentralized things. What is the new model, pay-to-earn? Ok, there is a value and only for developed (as entertainment is not for striving for living people) society. But why does it need the blockchain technology?

Payment industry, in my opinion, is occupied by fiat money and probably and will not be superseded by crypto, at least in the nearest future. Good to have crypto-to-fiat and vice versa services, but not for micropayments to purchase coffee or something.
