I see some threads discussing that bitcoin will bull run getting to the end of this year. Guys, what are you going to do if these speculations fail to come to reality and enters next year. Will you still invest in bitcoin?

Nothing and will keep on holding, there's no need to feel if these speculations will fail as we have been going through bearish market since the start of this year. Will you still invest in bitcoin?
Of course, buy low and sell high.

This all depends on what you believe. Some people invested in bitcoin because of the hype and not really know what bitcoin is all about. And there are believers. No matter what happens, bull or not we keep on holding until we really need to sell.

Then nothing will changed, simple as it is. Still moving on.... Speculations are associated with bitcoin since the beginning so it's not a big deal after all if some of them won't happened. We are already used to it. And about the last question, it's not really makes sense to me. Even without bull run or something, people can get decent return from bitcoin thru lots of methods available around. You just have to explore and study those.

LOL. What do you expect from us? Cry at our room because the much touted bull run didn't happen? We have seen this before so we should be emotionally affected by things we can't control. What we can do it make adjustments and evolved at the situation. Maybe you can buy at the dips again and try to accumulate more bitcoin while waiting for a break out run. Others just prefer to HODL and don't do anything stupid. The worst thing you can do is sell during a price decline which we all advise against it. So let me rephrase your question then, what are you going to do if this bull run continues?

That's just a prediction, actually I wouldn't believe in full of the speculation in circulation. And if this bull run fails until the end of the year, I will not leave investments in crypto currency. I've felt something like that before, so this will not make me upset against crypto currency.

I will keep investing in bitcoin even though bitcoin prices will soar next year and I strongly believe that bitcoin has a very bright and good future.
yes because in fact it doesn't matter as long bitcoin shows a potential that we can still earn profits on it no need to worry , and if you are a true believer you should keep investing on it no matter what happen. Which you will never give up on it until you achieve your goals even though it's more on downward rather than moving forward.

If the start of the bull run fails to happen by the end of this year we just wait longer. There's nothing you have to do, you just keep holding your investment. Anyway it's not like the end of this year is gonna bring the next exponential boom, that's probably a year or two away.

The bullrun fails but the price didn't drop back to $6K. Its a good sign. The all over news are fascinating though, more articles are being published for manipulate we can always read about it but we can never check the truth about those news. Seemingly there are still organizations wanting to join the crypto bandwagon so if the price goes up, our market is good.

If we fail to have a bull run again this year, we don't need to worry because it will still happen no matter what the situations will be in the coming months. Bitcoin will always pump in the long run, so if I see a bear market again I will buy more and wait for the next year's bull market.

I don't care if we'll have a bull run now or not, I'm going to hodl regardless and wait till Bitcoin reach moon - something like 100k or higher. There are so many things that will happen in the future - halvenings that will reduce Bitcoin's supply, Lightning Network that will make Bitcoin an actual electronic currency suitable for daily purchases, new protocols like sidechains and smart contracts that will add more scalability and functionality. We still don't have mass adoption and institutional adoption. Bitcoin will very likely reach six figures at some point, and by losing coins now on a volatile market you might be robbing yourself of thousands of dollars in the future.

If you don't think there'll be a bull run then pick a comfort price and buy/sell proportionally² to how far it rises/falls above/below your comfort price. I put my eggs in more than one basket.

you shouldn't be making decisions based on comments you read online! most of them aren't even speculation, they are trolling or spreading FUD because they are desperate and most of them won't come true because they are either unrealistic or contradictory.
and based on what people are calling "bull run" these days i don't see any possibility for them to happen! we will have a rise but nowhere near what some of these people are expecting like expecting $50k by the end of 2018!

yeah the likelihood of an exponential bull run in the next few months i'd put at like 1% chance. Probably what we will see this second half of 2018 is the start of the next long bull run over the next two years, like the 2.5 year bull run that went from $200 to $20k, I could see another 2+ year bull run starting roughly now that goes from $6k to ~$100k. If OP is talking about an actual exponential run this year that is a very unrealistic idea. To me the next bull run starting this year means we'll see $10k by end of year.

I believe the bear run has ended. Now alts are falling as BTC rises - this always happens close to a bull run. First BTC will go on a bull run and then the alts.

Many bitcoin enthusiasts are holding bitcoin because they believe that the future will be far more better than now. I will still be investing in bitcoin if it did not meet up with my expectations and I believe many of us will still be holding and makes some good money.

This all depends on what you believe. Some people invested in bitcoin because of the hype and not really know what bitcoin is all about. And there are believers.
Anyone who's read my posts here knows I'm pretty much still a novice when it comes to understanding the technical aspects of crypto, but that doesn't exclude me from being a bitcoin user and supporter. You don't have to be a mechanic to drive a car, in other words. I didn't buy bitcoin because of the hype, but I saw that it was becoming more than jut a fad, which is what I thought it was for a couple of years before I actually bought some. Nowadays my budget is pretty constrained, so I don't have a lot of fiat I can convert into crypto, but I'm still a bitcoin enthusiast, and that's what keeps me coming back to this forum. I guess you could call me a believer. But you're right, there are many folks here who couldn't give a shit about bitcoin. It's basically just a way to earn money through spamming, whether it's here on bitcointalk or on social media. The only positive thing about that is that it does get people involved in bitcoin. That might be really, really bad for the forum, but I can't deny that it's good for the crypto economy. On the other hand, I don't think it exactly makes lifelong crypto supporters. If they lost the ability to earn here, they'd lose interest in crypto altogether.

If you need to sell BTC, you're not a real bitcoiner.
It doesn't mean that just because you sold some of your bitcoin, you're not a real bitcoiner. How could you enjoy the perks of having bitcoin if you won't sell it on high? It's okay to sell some at high while you kept most of it as a holder. The bitcoin dream will come true when we'll be able to buy anything we need by using the one true currency. BTC
Yeah we're heading there.

Yes, i will still stay buy bitcoins side and invest or collect them in other ways. Fundamentals are still the same and in the long time frame it will only be stronger. Bitcoin wont be valued at 7000 or 10000 or even 190000 dollars. It will either be much bigger than that or it wont exist
