If you are shopping online, you can think about it. If not, that's waste your time because even bitcoin is popular now, it still not considered as a official currency

How many times have you came in a store and asked whether or not they accept bitcoin when you wanted to pay?

Should we do that EACH time we visit ANY store?
Would we create a huge advertisement for BTC that way?

Would stores start accepting it when they encounter a couple of people on a weekly basis asking them if they accept bitcoin?

Should we start doing this? o.o
Should we create a community so hard core that asks for everything they pay if it could be handled in BTC?

it's definitely good to start asking stores to accept cryptocurrencies, because that's usually the only way to attract their attention as there is a demand for it, unless shop owners are crypto enthusiasts.

If the shop owner is also investing in bitcoin as we do, I think he will easily accept Bitcoin as a form of payment in his store. But this is very unlikely because I have asked more than 20 stores. But these stores do not accept Bitcoin

Stores can only accept Bitcoin when Bitcoin is legally recognized by the government. I would not go to the store to inquire about this issue while my country is still stricter with to using Bitcoin for billing purposes.

It might not have a great impact but at least we should try, these smaller impacts combined can make them think about BTC and create an acceptance among everyone.

Bitcoins are taking over the crypto-currency marketplace. They’re the largest and most well-known digital currency. Many large companies are accepting bitcoins as a legitimate source of funds. They allow their online products to be bought with bitcoins.

With the extreme facilitation of transfer and earning of bitcoins, it would be a mistake not to accept these new-found online coins as cash. With a fluctuating value, the funds can either help or hurt the company.

I think it's not necessary to ask if they accept bitcoin because if ever they accept bitcoin they will do something, or some averting so that the client will know.

Overstock. I was not an issue because many fintech companies issue CC mainly UK based.Unfortunately Visa and MC had retired their support to these Fintech startups, leaving very few spaces where spend Cryptos directly without Change it into Fiat. The most realiable and famous: Overstock

A store in Latvia today had a sticker on the door, saying you can pay in crypto: Bitcoin, Eth and something else. And a big sign at the cash register. That would save your question )

To be honest, I didn't tried yet but I am thinking to do it whenever I have a time for a vacation. I will visit some large stores like supermarkets maybe or restaurants and ask them if they are accepting bitcoin or they know something about bitcoin.

I think store owners who doesn't know about bitcoin will be curious about it if people will start to ask them regarding the acceptance of bitcoin and maybe they will do a quick research about it and maybe they will accept it in the future.

But for me, instead of accepting bitcoin I think they need to use another coin that has faster tx speed.

an idea of good bitcoin promotion. If you go to the store and ask such questions, they will ask what is bitcoin? Maybe they want it and accept payment by bitcoin. But I think if you do it by yourself, the effect will not be high. We should advertise bitcoin through the media more effectively

There is no harm in asking about it but I don’t think so that using Bitcoin in stores for everyday purchases would be possible owing to the lack of adoption of Bitcoin. There is still a huge amount of population who are not aware of the cryptocurrency market. Even many stores will also be unfamiliar with cryptocurrencies. I hope that a time come soon when we can use Bitcoin for such routine activities.

I have tried asking this question in some physical stores. I remembered asking a pc parts store near me, if they would want to accept Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency as payment for the hard disk drive that I bought to them. They said no but also said that maybe they will in the future. So yea, asking is not a crime so why not, as long as your government allows cryptocurrency transactions, you are not violating any rules/law. But this is not necessary, let the huge businesses starts to accept cryptocurrency and small businesses will surely follows.

Yes, by doing this, you are creating more awareness to some peoples who doesn't know about bitcoin.
Later they will find about bitcoin, and there is a chance they gonna use cryptocurrency as well.
Nothing hard core, just a little chit chat with the store keeper, ask if they know about btc and accept is as a payment or not

Since people in my country is not so aware about conditions in outside of my country then I don't ask such thing, maybe in Malaysia I will ask such thing but here in Indonesia people are likely prefer like to use rupiah rather than bitcoin because it is more safer.

Sepertinya sudah waktunya, kalau menurut saya lebih baik lump sum sekarang. 30/01/2024.

Yes, but sometimes I feel embarrassed, I once visited a big shop and I asked if the store accepted bitcoin, it turned out the cashier was confused and laughed.

There is no harm in asking, the infrastructure for accepting bitcoin as payment is already there. Soon we will be asking if they take ethereum as well as bitcoin.
