Me and two others are backpacking across Ireland coast to coast for the United MSD Fondatikn. It is a fundraiser and someone has donated a Bitcoin. The board of directors do not know if they should cash it now or hold it with the hope it increases in value. What is the consensus of the forum members?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.
