Newb using CudaMiner nothing but invalids

Hi,

So I'm new here and apologize if this isn't in the right place.

I'm trying out vertcoin using various cudaminer programs and cudamanager. I get them to work but my hashes(i think thats the proper ref) always fail. I tried vertminer and it works fine, but I'd like to use cudaminer for the gpu usage vs cpu. I've tried a couple different pools to no avail. My GPU is a Nvidia 550 ti. What could be the problem? The vid card? My other pc hardware? Antivirus?

wrong algorithm, probably.
you need to use --algo=scrypt:2048 to mine vertcoin

Thanks that seemed to fix it! What do you think is a good ratio for a nvidia 550 ti ? The default config is F4x16? I only get 38 kh/s with that.
