Ethereum, sure.
If i have more than $ 1500 you will choose bitcoin.
I still like Ethereum because In recent news online as ETH introduced swarm and alpha version as of yet.
This makes investors more confident in ETH.

From my point of view you will find a lot of coin. My opinion is to please survey before you invest this sector.Every coin is not profitable. So please do a proper research before investing.

I think that EOS and Ripple will grow very well in price this year and so I would advise investing in these coins. In any case, do not invest in one coin. The larger your portfolio, the better.

I think it's too risky to invest $ 1500 on altcoin besides Bitcoin and Ethereum, I do not really know Ziliqa so I do not have data on this coin I need data and research before choosing altcoin for my investment I will not choose ziliqa for my portfolio , I will choose Stellar lumen or Eos instead of Ziliqa.

The best thing to do is do some research before investing money. I suugest try to look ICO's with great potential in the future. 1500$ is enough to buy good altcoins and ICO's then hodl for a couple of year. Try to include also Vanig, CYFM and MFTU token but of course do research first.

Perhaps you can consider Cardano and ETC, as a long term investment. As we know ETC will enter the Coinbase market, and Cardano is very cheap nowadays.
Stellar and Zilliqa can be a good choice. I like Cardano and Stellar, if you ask for the coins.

if we split our asset, personally i will buy bitcoin as same as bitcoin dominance in market.if this reach 47% i will buy bitcoin 47 % from my money.and the rest will be bought altcoin

I do not know the ziliqa coin and its character. But if the amount of money should choose a good coin for investment, I am more likely to invest for 60% ethereum and the rest for cheap coins that have good growth.

if you do not know it, never invest in the coin. invest in a trusted coin, such as ethereum or NEO you can choose both. both have excellent potential to be invested

Try to pick on top 5 leading coins in the market, but for me only bitcoin and ethereum are the very best crypto to invest in. But it is up to you to pick on which on the top 5 leading coins. And i suggest you to study the coins first before you invest,  because some of them are can give you a hard time,  but not at all.
