I dont think the fall will happen as fast as your arrow in RED indicates. May take until mid to end of March to materialize.

At this point I am longing the position in BTC. I believe the value of BTC is well around the 800$ mark. Until all the news blows over like the recent SLR 2.0 issue, Mt.Gox scandal, Russia banning BTC, and transaction malleability issues. I believe the recovery will definitely start by the end of this month. The price should hover around 700$ very least.
A lot good news have come out like Thailand reinstating BTC trading, but they are not big enough country to make a clout unfortunately. I am banking on once BTC becomes stable as USD,RMB and EU. We'll see the Chinese jumping back in the market. I believe BTC biggest issues are the swings. Once China and Russia change there minds about BTC. BTC will be worth well over 1500$ per coin.
At this point is making BTC stable enough for merchants to do everyday trade with it. Once that materializes. We'll see countries lifting the ban. I believe if more and more merchants/services take it. BTC value will stabilize. Then countries like China and Russia will have no choice but lift there bans and sanction. Let face it, no country want to be the last kid to the candy shop especially when it involves money.
The only reason why BTC is ban in China and Russia is because its threat to there banking industry. 45$ wire transfer to 35$ bank overdraft fees. That billions of dollars for a country/banking with ease.
Let me know what you think? Its my opinion merely.

If you want to buy, buy knowing that it may go down; if you want to invest an important sum you could buy a bit now and then again in a few weeks in case the price drops |

It should definitely settle around the 700$ mark this month. The reason why it's not near the 800$-900$ range is due to GOX. GOX needs to take a dirt nap or fix it's issue. If the GOX news continues to loom everywhere we'll still be around 600$-700$ range even down to high 500$ range. The value of the Coin should be around 700-800$?range without a doubt. The reason why I choose that range is infrastructure to obtain BTCs has vastly improve. As much as we depend on the BTC community. We need the newcomers to be involved. Every time a newcomer trades or mines or invest or buys. He is contributing to increase value of bitcoin ecosystem. Growth and maturity of BTC will only progress forward as long as we get an infuse of new players in the ecosystem. Bad news like what karapeles has done for his own benefit. Has caused newcomers to second guess the ecosystem. Let's put it this way. If banks in the USA weren't back by federal reserve or FDIC. A lot of people would lose trust in the US dollar and we would of still been bartering at this point. Trust is in the eye of the beholder. |
