Just read this article:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/clareoconnor/2014/02/17/how-to-use-bitcoin-to-shop-at-amazon-home-depot-cvs-and-more/

What are some more mainstream places you guys would love to see accept Bitcoin eventually?

Anything to cut the banks out.. Gyft is a start for allowing you to spend your gains at many retailers untaxed. There are some unmentionables that seems to be an okay way spending bitcoin. I recently got my favorite band to work on integrating bitcoin to their website they will be selling all their shwag and tickets, they have a large online presence, live streaming of concerts... It will happen soon.

You need to constantly talk about it to friends, strangers, business owners, etc, transfer a few dollar worth of bitcoin to friends and family.

There are issues that need to be dealt with to allow bitcoin to become a sprawling untethered currency.

I think everybody will eventually accept bitcoin.
Bt the road towards that goal is still very long though.
