News like this are those that keep the hopes alive that there is hope and a future for the cryptocurrency in our financial and economical zones in the world. What is also a positive is that samsung is a company that is known and respected worldwide which keans that their decisions do carry weight not just in their industry but also to the whole of the corporations that are looking into investing and moving forward with the cryptocurrencies.

This thing right here, is far more significant than the "BMW" accepting bitcoin news is. This is actually Samsung. Not some random dealer. Wonder why they started in these Baltic states though, probably testing things out first before going full-scale with bitcoin payments hopefully sometime in the future.
Though I really don't know why they even accepted Steem though. Steem isn't even made for merchant payments(though you could say the same for ETH).

This is more than good but only for the people that are living in there and are actually using bitcoins, for all the other people is good because it means more adoption = more increases on the price. More than happy to see this kind of news in here

Yeah this is the real Samsung unlike the fake news that has been spread through the BMW dealer. Samsung has been doing a great job for welcoming cryptocurrencies if you can remember guys that they are also producing ASIC chips, they want to play a big role in the crypto ecosystem. Will other companies will follow Samsung's foots step?

This is really a great news for everyone here. Samsung is a worldwide famous and popular company. If they accept cryptocurrency as payment, then it's mean a lot. And, I assume the more big company will follow Samsung's this step. Cryptocurrency is making big for everyone. Now I hope, One day, crypto will be accepted by every country and every e-commerce company will add crypto coins as a payment method.

What's been mentioned seems to be the acceptance of cryptocurrency on the selected stores seems to be on individual interest. Samsung hasn't revealed anything stating the acceptance of cryptocurrency into their businesses. Samsung entering the production of mining equipments is a first step of positive signal from Samsung and hope the similar support will continue.

Samsung is a great company. Although the effect is not too big. But I hope the news can be a reference for my trading today. And I hope this will be followed by many other big companies.

this is very good news when Samsung receives a crypto currency, and I think with this news will be able to improve the state of bitcoin and other altcoin prices.

I don't see how Samsung, a technological giant( giant being a huge understatement) accepting crypto is "not too big". If it goes successful I don't see why they wouldn't do the same for their other stores.

those are just stored like any other store and the store owner is free to do whatever they want, i don't think it has anything to do with Samsung itself. it is just a method of payment and you have permission to sell Samsung products but your contract doesn't say which method of payment to use. as for ETH,... it is funny because they are not even currencies! it is always surprising enough when people compare ETH and BTC and i can get why gambling sites accept it but a merchant doing it is just not right. and i seriously doubt if anyone spends their ETH, they barely spend their bitcoin as it is, they won't spend their altcoins which are purely investment.

this will be a very good power with Samsung already using bitcoin and coin altcoin coins the other, and I strongly believe this will be able to push the price to go up.

That makes perfect sense, especially in tech-savvy nations like the Baltics. Accepting cryptocurrencies and particularly bitcoin will help Samsung reinforce the idea that it is at the cutting-edge of technological innovation. This is a positive for both Samsung and cryptocurrencies.

This is what I always say, if stores or merchants are afraid of accepting cryptocurrency because of the volatility they can just partner with cryptocurrency payment processors like what Samsung did, partnering with Coppay. This is good news because Samsung is a huge company, hopefully they will also consider doing this in all of their stores internationally. It will increase the awareness of people that still don't know anything about cryptocurrency if huge business will start adopting it, and demand on crypto will surely increase.

It is said in the article that there is no regulatory policy for cryptocurrencies in the Baltic States or it's minimal. Maybe that's why Samsung decided to dabble in crypto as they will probably pay no taxes via the Coppay payment processor who handles their customers' crypto purchases. I am not an expert though so don't quote me on that. Samsung are quite the profit-driven company and it would make sense for them to test the waters in an unregulated market with zero bureaucratic obstacles first.
