Some lucky miner out there just made 0.01 btc in the form of the transaction fee I just paid.  Tongue

Don't pay them. Simple. Anyone dumb enough to pay transaction fees right now deserves to be scammed.

I never pay any transaction fee and it is all good. The BS about "paying transaction fee makes miner process faster" is total BS.

I hope you are realizing that you just connected one of your BTC addresses in public to your forum nickname.
So much for pseudonimity ...

But it does not seem to bug many people on the forum pages, most give away a BTC address in their signature.
I value my privacy higher than the prospect of receiving a few BTC for free or just for the fun of it.

Why are you doing it?

Got a block explorer link where you've sent somebody 0.02 or 0.01 without paying a fee?  I'd be interested to see this.  I'm on my laptop atm and my wallet on this computer is always empty, so I had a balance of 0.03... was going to send 0.02, why not send 0.01 as a fee.  xD

Anyways, there -are- mining pools out there that will only process transactions with a certain fee attached, and as fees become a larger portion of profits made from mining(as the btc reward for blocks decreases), the minimum fee on pools will increase.

Myself, I generated a new address specifically to respond to this thread and then send it all out immediately once somebody else replied.  Wink

OK, that explains it. I hope that others take same or similar precautions.

Well I don't care about anonymity because I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE !!!

Just a FIY all the bitcoin that is on that address is all I have ATM. I'm being totally transparent because I HAVE NO REASON TO HIDE ANYTHING unlike some dodgy people here. I don't use SilkRoad so I guess you can also call it "clean"  Grin

And BTW all the small funds there do go to help orphaned children. It's not just BS to get you to donate.
