Our card program is already operational but we are limited by tiny budget and team. We have funded the project ourselves and not raised external investment so far. (except for a very small ICO token presale)
Cards can be ordered today at ibittcard.com for delivery within 14 days. All terms and fees are also listed there.
Purpose of the ICO is intended to properly capitalise the company, so we can scale it up to meet the demand we are seeing already.
e.g. to employ admins to run our exchange, developers to add features, testers to audit and load test our network, operations, financial controllers, marketing team etc etc - we need it all. So far we are handling everything ourselves, which is not easy or efficient.
Instead of just raising funds, we have bought ATMs with our own money, built and launched an exchange MVP - to prove we are genuine and real. (some people simply refuse to believe that we are not just raising money to run away with it. So we are doing all we can to prove that our products are real and would welcome any test or audit by a credible person)
That said - our ICO is ongoing, as we are raising funds for the project to grow - we plan to launch in multiple markets (e.g. Chile & UK) and to do some actual marketing (so far we did none, yet are busy dealing with organic demand)
yes our own token INV is usable within our platform, especially for discounted card loading fees & exchange trading fees. (similar to Binance BNT)
Also it is used for rewarding referrals & loyalty.
We will be driving demand for iBitt exchange thru the card program & partnership with other blockchains (e.g. Reddcoin & Electra so far..) along with acceptance of multiple FIAT currency onramps, as we are setup with a lot of banking services.
We expect to launch iBitt exchange in Chile in early Sept, with CLP and USD accepted to buy BTC & ETH - then we will expand as fast as funds allow
Version 2 of iBitt will list alt coins & ICO tokens on our exchange - which will also drive INV demand up
