Well I've seen it discussed many times, but since you ask...

Have you never thought of the possibility that Satoshi Nakamoto doesn't exist? That maybe BTC was given to us not by a single person or even a small group of people, but by a large behind the scenes organization that sees this as a step in a master plan to achieve a bigger goal of theirs in the future. Not saying I am a firm believer into such conspiracy theories, but just that you shouldn't accept the existence of a person called Satoshi Nakamoto, who is also the creator of BTC for a 100% guaranteed fact.

Also even if he is real and all, he just might not feel like bothering with all this. Vitalik is constantly in the spotlights and people have certain expectations set for him. Not everyone wants this in their lives. Personally I'd be hesitant to reveal myself at this point if I were Satoshi Nakamoto. He's probably doing well for himself anyway, so I doubt he needs the publicity.

Why not? If that was the case, then it's obviously served great in covering their tracks. People are confused and don't know what's real and what's a made up story. This is all just a speculation, but if you were a malevolent organization that aims at influencing the world without people knowing, why wouldn't you make your people do everything under the same name?

If Satoshis Identity would be known:

a) he would be in SEVERE danger for his life + his families life + his friends life
just look at Asange and Snowden

b) the BTC community would constantly tweet / message him to change this and/or that.
Ask why this is not included, cause coin "X" can do another thing so much better.

c) he would have to deal with Roger Ver and discussions about what is the "real Bitcoin"

d) mainstream media could easily destroy his life + reputation
(see what they do with Elon Musk?)

Putting himself out there would be such a risk. Suddenly you have enemies like the Rothschilds, Governments
(maybe even Mafia Mobsters?)
Just imagine a case hypothetical case where it is known that drug money is on a certain wallet.
Media asks him, why he cannot "delete" these funds. How rude of Satoshi to "support" criminalls like this.. ?

ALso it would centralize BTC in a way that was never intended for BTC.

He is a smart man, we will never know him. Godspeed.

That was a really well written comment! Too bad i dont have merit or i would send you some.
I think he was smart to stay hidden. Ethereum is not a currency while bitcoin is, maybe that is the difference in why it worked ok for Vitalik.

The posts above are cringe AF.

Ethereum isn't a currency. It's a platform for the development of smart contracts and DApps. A quick Google search and you will find a lot of material you can use to study so you don't spit things you don't know about.

At least Sathosi Nakamoto is not for publication, he may have a strong reason to remain anonymous, but has ideas that can help many people financially. We will not know about Satoshi's life but we will always use his ideas to meet our needs in the crypto world.

because the thing they created is very different from each other and they each serve a completely different purpose, a purpose that requires Vitalik to not be anonymous and Satoshi to be.

bitcoin was created to be a decentralized currency. it shouldn't have that kind of authority figure like Satoshi. it is a system that works on its own and backed by the entire network of decentralized nodes.

on the contrary, ethereum is a centralized platform created so that Vitalik and the supporters (the foundation and banking cartel investing in it) can make money. so it needs the public spokesman to advertise it.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

there are good answers already so let me pose a question that will make it easier for you to understand the reasons:
why do you want to know the identity of Satoshi? you won't gain any knowledge from it and it would not and should not change anything in a decentralized system for you to know who started it.

now why do we know the identity of Vitalik? what is he gaining from this. how much money did he make from the 72 million ETH that he premined? how much money did he make when he worked with Russian government and banks?

i suppose there could be confusion, i was actually referring to ether and not ethereum, my fault

ethere is the token of the platform which still is not a currency. it is a token that is designed to only be used as a "fuel" for smart contracts and nothing else.

We all know the mystery that is Satoshi Nakamoto, but why does he continue to hide? There are many countries where Bitcoin is legal and many countries which have their own coin, these countries would probably welcome satoshi with everything they have, but he continues to  hide?

On the contrary, Vitalik Buterin has no intention to hide, why is that? Being the creator of the 2nd largest cryptocurrency wouldnt he face the same problems as Satoshi? why isnt he scared of jail time or anything?

They have personal reasons about it and one thing that I know is their interest to optimize Decentralization on CryptoCurrency they have created, maybe their actions related to that interest and it's just that they do it in their own way
