The day will surely come, looking at how widespread cryptocurrencies is flying lately, the future looks bright. With the introduction of ATMs that supports bitcoin in Belgium, I am looking forward to hearing the great news when bitcoin will be accepted in banks.

Agree with you, and not only bitcoin. Other cryptocurrency like altcoins will be accepted as well.
At least not for now, because there are still some governments banning crypto in their country.
Once everyone can freely use crypto, the bank should accept it to adopt it on their system.

Think about it. What's the point of 'being your own bank' if you're going to leave your bitcoin in banks anyway? Might be quite counter intuitive you think?

I don't think that banks are going to accept bitcoin so soon, as they are dead against bitcoin along with many other governments. They perceive bitcoin as a threat to their survival.

The main reason that the countries opposes the crypto currencies is that the banks will be shut down if the crypto currencies were used world wide so it can cut down the reenue to their governments. So how the banks going to accept the crypto currencies?

And also we no need third party's like banks help to use the crypto currencies since we can send and receive any amount of cryptos on our own.

If the banks don't want to be shut down then they don't have a choice but to accept and adapt bitcoin or they will develop their own cryptos and blockchain. Banks cannot stop the growing number of bitcoin holders in the world and soon most people will use cryptos than fiat money that banks hold.

I'd like to believe that. I think the day when the government and banks recognize cryptocurrencies will soon come and then bitcoin will fly to the moon.

banks accepting bitcoin is not such a great news though! it can even be a terrible news if you ask me. because if banks start accepting bitcoin, open bitcoin "accounts" and things like that, it may encourage people to start using banks instead of avoiding them and having their own bitcoin wallet. and that is terrible because they would be going back to the centralization that were trying to get rid of.
That's what I thought as well. Why do we need banks if we have our wallets. They are equally safe. We can stake our coins in them if they suport this consensus. So banks are just worthless here.

Banks are not anymore institutions to keep your money safe. Moreover your money are not safe anymore in banks because bank can confiscate it if it's close to bankruptcy.

Why not?
When the practice of crypto currency will be more popular then today , at that time banks are bound to accept Bitcoin .

Most because banks are not yet accepting the bitcoin. But here in the Philippines it is acceptable and many people have made a wallet site to make way for banks to accept bitcoin here in the Philippines.

This problem is controversial because it will invite the pros and cons of several parties, the extreme crypto group might think this is a bad thing because if the Bank accepts Crypto then the attraction of the decentralized system that has been used on cryptocurrency will be lost. but the good side is that a big jump might occur because the number of crypto user populations will definitely increase sharply, I personally support the older system and reject centralization.

Yes, of course they will. They will take it as a fact. It's unavoidable. Bitcoin along with other crypto currencies is gaining momentum.

Hello,

Honestly this is for me one the most sure question in crypto in the next months/years. Yes banks will accept it as market is growing with more and more people interested and investing in it.

they will want also to catch the potential and earn money, directly by trading by their own but also by proposing services with fees for people who want to invest without doing anything.

I think that is not very easy to do, because banks have their own rules for managing finances. Bitcoin must have clear legality beforehand to be able to achieve that, and again many considerations must be taken by the bank before it happens, for example, fluctuations that are very unstable, the status of bitcoin is not clear at this time.

There is no need for banks to accept Bitcoin, if you notice, banks only accepting 1 form of currency at a time unless you're doing foreign exchange, I don't think the day will ever come where you are able to create a bank account and store bitcoin in that account, it might be used for forex purposes but that's about it.

I think that the potential for them to accept blockchain technology is much more likely, such as IBM hyperledger as I've seen a few banks working with this now, but Bitcoin is quite unlikely in my opinion.

I think that banks accepting crypto would be a major step into what I don’t want crypto to become. Banks would want to control our wallets/transactions/Blockchain...

The future is very bright for bitcoin and the cryptocurrency entirely,  because with the recent development in the crypto world e.g the bitcoin ATM and the rest I know the bank will not have choice then to start accepting bitcoin in other for them to remain relevant because the blockchain is becoming the digital bank of our time.

Now it is not too far away when every bank will start taking the bidcoin, people will start to understand the bitcoins and if they want to invest in it then the bank will also do it.
