It depends when bitcoin is on the quick rise, right now many people are moving their money into bitcoin because they believe bitcoin, will increase quickly if ETF is been approved by sec come next month, so altcoins will be down until bitcoin stabilizes

I think if altcoin is experiencing a very severe decline so that the price drops to more than -20% then you should buy it as much as you can because it is a very good moment to buy coin. after that you can wait until the price back up and make withdrawal of profit.

I don't know the exact reason for that. I guess alt are waiting for Bitcoin ETF ( Excahnge Traded Fund) for SEC approval. We expect midle of next month we can see the result. Till that alt coin holder should be pataine. At least Bitcoin on bulls run that is good sign for alt holder. Once a time alt will bump too.

It is normal for altcoin price to go down once bitcoin starts showing good upward trends. Most holders dump their altcoins to get more bitcoin to take advantage of the current price hike.

Generally, there is no doubt that we all want to be optimistic and also hope we get to see the best from the market, but the truth at this moment is that everything about this market is uncertain and it tends to show the possibility of being hit by the bears pretty quickly. This is more like a fake bounce to me as well, and until I get an otherwise move above the current resistance around $8800 that does not look like the bulls have the potential to squash out of the way, then the downtrend in the short term is pretty much intact.

When bitcoin will be tied out then we can expect the money flow to be turned into altcoins. I guess that turn may occur by next week. But at the same time, I am too afraid of more bleeding from altcoins by this week end whereas bitcoin is known for sharp rising by week end.

I think bitcoin is running to nowhere in these times. In my opinion, the bear term is still going on and I think the prices of btc and the altcoins are not likely to rise in a near future.

Not always because they have time the altcoin increase. Like today if you look at the value of the altcoins it's turning into green and I hope it will become stable the price and increase the value everyday or everyweek. Altcoins you can get more profit.

yes I am sorry to hear this news, I hope there is another news that will pump the bitcoin price. everyone says the same hope the end of the year there will be a surprise.

I recently put everything back into Bitcoin. It was difficult to let go of Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, but I think it will do better invested in Bitcoin. I let go of several other alt coins but retained Monero.

For me it is not that good to just follow bitcoin and believe that only this project will make better price in future, for me the best solution is to find like 4/5 coins and follow their trends/ news and maybe in future put some money in them.

Why expect the future, if today there are very good chances for investing in cheap coins? You can use the current situation in the market to make quality purchases that will bring profit in the future.

Because people are greedy they want to enter in the market at the best possible time and while that is possible at the same time is very difficult, and if you wait too much it is entirely possible you lose the best window of opportunity just because your expectations about the price of the coin you were watching were completely wrong, this is something that I have watched a lot in the forum especially in the last weeks

Considering a huge numbers of altcoins in the market,  it also contribute for its delay in increase since investors will take shares into different coins. It happen also that some developers abandon their projects and letting it die.

Bitcoin is showing some strength but I think when the ETF decision is over that the altcoins such as Ethereum, Neo etc. will all recover again. If the ETF decision is positive then bitcoin will probably moon anyway and the altcoins will raise. It's the same thing in November and December. Bitcoin just continue to rise while altcoins just bleed. But after bitcoin halted from it's bull run, altcoin came next and made a bull run. I believe that the same thing will happen this time and we just need to be patient.

Thank you sir for this kind advise "all coin holders should actually be patient" If ETF get approve in August 11 then we should expect bitcoin and altcoins to be able to makes another high. The December last year high was as a result of future trades and we actually need something significant to see bitcoin pumping in price.
