I have designed and ordered some business cards to hand out at events targeting our financial institutions.

Front of card:
http://bayimg.com/makGOaAdG

Back of card:
http://bayimg.com/nAKGaAadG

I will ship these to anyone at cost, naturally I take bitcoins.

Cost is as follows:
$4.5 for 25
$9 for 50
$18 for 100
$27 for 200
$42 for 500
$70 for 1000
$120 for 2000

If you would like to donate some coins I will use the funds to send the appropriate amount of cards out to interested organizers.

I know your heart is in the right place, but I could go to windows paintbrush and do a better job, plus pay less for larger quantities. Please try harder. This is unacceptable.

OP - thank you for producing those, but we've created a similar card for this very purpose, and are giving away free bitcoins with these cards to the occupiers...

And please don't take this offensively but if you're going to charge for a design product, please use professional design work. In the Bitcoin world, the first 10 ideas you try will be shot down by the marketplace. Don't give up. It's the competitive fire that tempers the steel of innovation  Wink

Don't screw up the Occupy movement with Bitcoin junk. They're doing something important. Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme on the way down.

Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme on the way down.
Who is at the top of the pyramid?   Is this just a big scheme to pay for persons retirement down the line?  Is it possible for this scheme to pick up steam and actually work if it has enough users?  I mean, it worked for the AMWAY company, people consider them legit now.

To suggest that Bitcoin is disruptive to the Occupy movement because it's a pyramid scheme... when the majority of that movement is calling for increased welfare, medicare, and social security-type programs which are by definition pyramid schemes!

Ahhh the irony flows from your posts with no end - if we could but tap that irony mankind would have an infinite source of renewable energy.

Oh, now I see, anything that doesn't suit money grubbing profiteers is a Pyramid Scheme. Anything that involves working together for the better good is a Pyramid Scheme. God Bless America and Thank You I don't live there. Land of the Illusion of Freedom.

I know it's not the best designed thing ever, I just went to 123print.com and drag n dropped it together.  I had looked (apparently not very well) and didn't find any that were already done.  Thanks for letting me know.  The only thing I don't like about giving out coins is that most of the people we hand out cards to are not going to redeem them or even figure out how to.  I was going more for awareness than trying to get a bunch of people to have wallets right away.  Letting them circulate and let the people they peak in interest in find their own way, I think bitcoin is still far beyond the grasp of casual users, but I run into some very smart people, developers even that have never even heard of them and are amazed to find out.

I have ordered cards from them before and they are generally pretty good quality.  I think the images are intentionally low quality to prevent using their service to print your own.

I am not 'charging for design' that's what they actually cost.  Also someone has messaged me saying they can make these much cheaper and for bitcoins, so if anyone is interested hopefully I can reduce the cost.  Will post an update if I can make that happen.

---
If you think bitcoin is a pyramid scheme why are you here.  Nothing better to do?  Besides I don't see how it could screw up the movement even if it was, they do already take bitcoin donations.

The only thing I don't like about giving out coins is that most of the people we hand out cards to are not going to redeem them or even figure out how to.

I think there was talk about the ability to check the numbers on the cards to see if they are used or not, that way refunds from donations can be given.  I think, I'm too lazy to search.

I dig the idea behind your card, just a straight up card for info.  I think the back of the card is actually perfect, and I would just take that front of the card and organize the words differently rather than have the keywords kind of spread across.  If that text had a more uniform look, I think that is the only thing throwing me off personally as far as the card design.

You might want to spend a little more time on that card, maybe fix the typo too. Maybe not make it a card at all. I'd laugh if someone offered me "digital cash" via a card like that.
