I can verify the whole thing, because I set it up  Wink

Today was the general press release that Free State Project is now accepting BTC, and next weekend we'll be doing the mega bitcoin blast to the roughly 15k mailing list subscribers.

Roger Ver of Memory Dealers donated the funds for this (he's such a rockstar), and BTCinch has been amazingly helpful in building their ewallet/merchant/email system.

The registration for Liberty Forum is now open as of today, and within a couple days attendees will be able to purchase their ticket with Bitcoin. Thereafter, essentially everything that FSP offers (from online store to event registrations) will be accepting Bitcoin.

This is a great promotion and I'm extremely happy to see much more individual and community efforts towards helping promote bitcoin as of late. Thank you for doing this for the community Evoorhees, Roger Ver, and BTCinch. It's truly up to us to dictate the future acceptance of bitcoin and initiative you guys are showing is exemplary.

It's like we are back in beginning of the year when this forum was full of great ideas to help spread and promote bitcoin to the world. Maybe the current political climate with #ows in the US is proving more ready to accept bitcoin as a currency as well. Whatever it may be pushing people to promote bitcoin, I'm glad to see more collaborated efforts for something other than fear mongering and trolling on the forum.

This is communism, I thought the FSP was against that on principle.

Voluntary donations are the very opposite of communism. If we were stealing your money and sending it to our members, that'd be more like communism/USA.

lol...at least the communist are honest about it.

Almost every country with fiat money is honest about the variable money supply. They also never publicly mention the effects this policy has on the people using their money. The US and China share both of these policies.

We're not fighting a system of government. I believe the system of government we have in the US is still among the best in the world. We just need to replace the Fed, which isn't even a government agency.
