Yes, such things happen sometimes but we should understand that it is impossible to do if you have small amount of money so only "big traders" or funds can manipulate a market price. It is much easier to manipulate assets which are small capitalized and of course such a manipulation is very profitable but it is quite dangerous and it is possible that it is out of law

Sometimes many people try to manipulate the market and buy precious tokens cheap and selling high later. They intentionally cause fear and panic in the inexperienced members and take advantage to perpetrate their greed activities.

This is how cryptocurrencies incounter price decreasing because of some greedy people they want to manipulate  the price of crypto in the market. Most of them are the big whales who buy a big volume of coins in a very low price and then they it right away when they see the price starting to increase.

If you as an individual are led by greed when you go to trade, chances are you won't go far. However, I think you are right when you say that there is market manipulation. Market manipulation is usually done on an institutional level, taking advantage of the small investors. Whether or not you can call this greed, I don't know. The whales are simply doing business, and they just use the fact that the crypto markets are not regulated enough. So they get by with all sorts of shady things while making money.

Those that have the power to manipulate the markets are going to use it, even if they do not want to use it they cannot avoid to manipulate the markets even if they wanted, if a group of rich people with tens of billions of dollars suddenly decided to invest in this market that will obviously make the price to go up, so they are manipulating the markets but no one complains when that happens because they earn money, but people with that kind of capital may decide to short bitcoin or to sell their coins and this will make the price to go down and that is when everyone complains.

Crypto industry is not much mature yet, most investors/traders are lacking knowledge and trade based on emotional decisions taken when the market is either booming up or doing down straight. Ultimately they lose money and the well informed investors grabs the oppprtunity to earn more from the mistakes of newbies.

So greediness can't do much to the market if you're a small scale investor but surely people would lose money if they keep trading based on sentiments and not on research and knowledge.

Sorry, but you are not going to change this reality. There will be always people causing the chaos to be benefited, especially on the financial market where speculation and unscrupulousness are a must. The point is that the risks are clear for all and if you don't agree, better to stay away.

It doesn't mean a common, innocent investor can't take advantage from this scenario. Invest money you can afford to lose, don't be greedy like the ones you criticize and withdraw your profits often to another investment, a solid one. This way you build your patrimony avoiding the risks and protecting yourself against manipulation.

Gordon Gekko said Greed is good!

I do believe the emotions of greed does play a huge role in how the market works and evolves.  It's why trading is damn near impossible on a smaller time level because your dealing with thousands of emotions splattering against the market at any given second.

It is true that greediness will lead to market manipulation, because of the people who are not good in dealing with their funds, they have no mindset in giving the market an opportunity to have its thing.

Yeah that is one of the way to trick newbie to do panic sell, its often happen in the crypto world, but its only work for the newbie, for the experience traders and investors, we don't directly believe the news, we always check the truth before decide what we are going to do with our investment, spreading hoax news to cause panic sell indicates that people's greed know no boundaries

I agree.Too many people here trade for their own benefits without even considering the right timing to trade.Greed is one of the factors that urges them to go on trading even when the market condition is not good,so as a result they tend to make less profits and even others end up failed.

Its human nature though, the businesses in the world are going to be like a cartel, hoarding and wants to corner the market for their own. But since this is decentralized and there are more tokens readily available there certainly isn't so much to manipulate unless they concentrate on a particular coin which they do with BTC.

Fake new also contribute to market manipulation, it is used by whales who are hoping to buy cheap coin to earlier people learn and could resist the news the better fot individual and crypto community at large.

Nothing new to news manipulation, the media world wide had been doing it since time.

Isn't this what happens when something is available to be bought and sold? We all have a natural desire to buy low and sell high. I wouldn't call it market manipulation unless it's a whole bunch of people with extremely deep pockets (like banks, for example) getting together and dumping the coin all at once to make the price go down.

But buying and selling to turn a profit is what everything is being used for nowadays. Bitcoin is not practical enough to be used as a currency (yet) so in the meantime takes the shape of an investment vehicle. It's listed as a commodity because it is being treated that way by investors. Finite supply, fixed price, etc.

Because there are greedy people in the market, the price of the market will fluctuate greatly. Greed will make people earn a lot of money and make them lose a lot of money.

I think so. Too much greediness always bring disaster to our society. so we have to control our greediness to save us from many unwanted activities. it's true that some greedy people are mainly responsible for market manipulation.

Sometimes many people try to manipulate the market and buy precious tokens cheap and selling high later. They intentionally cause fear and panic in the inexperienced members and take advantage to perpetrate their greed activities.

That is a part of investing and trading. All you have to do is learn how to join or do the same the way they do it for you to bring your own fortune for yourself.

The cryptocurrency market is different to any other financial market that we know. The early adopters of the cryptocurrency market are the cryptographers, nerds, computer scientists, wannabe entrepreneurs, etc... some would label them the 'outsiders' of society. These are the people that have reaped the rewards of entering the market early and becoming the next-generation millionaires. The nature of the cryptocurrency market structure allows the bad and greedy guys to get away with whatever they please. This sort of manipulation is going under-the-radar with many uneducated readers caving in to these misleading stories.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.
