[QUESTION] Altex Exchange Down ?

Hello, the crypto lovers community,

We are posting today following various malfunctions noted on the small platform "Altex Exchange" (https://altex.exchange). For more than 10 days now, the actions "deposit" and "withdraw" are no longer offered by the platform 

This kind of slight malfunction could have happened in the past, but was usually caused by fork or maintenance, and the Altex team was still posting something against this on their official Twitter account (https://twitter.com/Altex_exchangeR). Also, these periods did not exceed 2/3 days.

However, for 10 days, no communication is made on their side, and we can not contact them by any means whatsoever (twitter, support ticket etc ...).

So we are a small group to have created to try to improve the situation and for the platform to find its features.

Note that this is a young platform, on which there was little liquidity but that worked very well (whether trades, deposits and withdrawals).

We wish, through this thread, to try to gather people who are affected by this problem, but also and above all, to communicate with the Altex team to solve this situation

They seem to have account in bitcointalk but can't be sure whether this is official account or not.

Zero post but account seem active just a week ago.

Can't find their ANN so there is no way to contact them other than waiting by submitting support ticket on platform.

Its better to only use known and trusted exchanges, don't trust any of this exchanges which pops up out of nowhere.

I still hope it's simply a maintenance which last longer and the exchange will turn on soon. It is a small and recent but ok exchange. I hope the Altex team will respond cause i'm not the only one in this situation

Yes..It's been a while that I wanted to withdraw some coins  from Altex, but the wallet is under maintenance. I hope this finishes asap.

Just quoting up on what they do have said.

That bug caused a big loss in coins for the exchange and we have put our main currency under maintenance so the people who exploited the bug can no longer withdraw. After a really long investigation we found out that we still lost a big amount. This was caused by the coins software, it was not a bug in our system.

We don't even know if this is a truth thing or just an alibi for those exchangers to rip of their users tokens. This is the risk on using small an non-reliable exchangers.

I stored my coins on the Altex. and it is probably that the exchange is  a scam one, exited after months.
Today, I even can not visit the website of Altex.

Never heard of this trading platform before. But its pretty obvious that they have exited already because the site is not accessible and I found accusations here: Altex exchange ROBBERY. It's a reality check for everyone if they store their coins on that exchange and then one day you can't accessed it anymore. I won't mentioned the morals of the story because I'm sure that everyone know so just be careful out there.
