Bitcoin forecast: Can Bitcoin price worth more than $100k in 2018?

With increasingly positive voices coming out in favor of Bitcoin, it remains to be seen whether it will actually increase in value significantly until the end of this year or whether it will remain around this levels. Many of the other cryptocurrencies have been consistently rising in the past couple of weeks. This is the reason why investors are again turning bullish on cryptocurrencies and think that, they will increase in value further. Many of the enthusiasts are actually predicting higher peaks as well as newer peaks for the cryptocurrencies.

Famous Venture Capitalist Tim Draper was on Bloomberg two days ago, sharing his thoughts on why Bitcoin will be worth a lot more than what it is today.

For reference, he’s the guy who predicted in 2014 that Bitcoin would hit $10,000 in three years. And it did!

This time, his prediction is way more outlandish, even by our insanely bullish standards. Draper predicts that a major part of today’s fiat currency market will be dominated by cryptocurrencies in the future. He identifies that the world market for fiat currencies is worth $86.0 trillion today.

If we go by his prediction and do some quick math on prices, Bitcoin turns out to be worth more than $100,000.

Draper gives us at least three reasons in his very brief interview why he believes that Bitcoin is the future of currency.

It’s borderless. You could go to any country and use it.
It’s not subject to the whims of a government. The supply is constant and the price is determined by free market demand.
It’s banking the unbanked. You can bypass the traditional banking system, avoid surveillance, and get rid of hefty fees.
As for investment advice, Draper made it loud and clear.

Tim Draper has given some nice predictions in the past and I think the points he makes are some of the points we make in the forum all the time so I think he is correct, also I think that a price of 100k for each bitcoin is completely possible but not in this year, this year is a year in which the price is not going to move much upwards, this is one of those years in which many are going to sell thinking this is over only to realize a few years later that is not the case.

This level of amount is a bit too much. It just might not happen at the present time, but who knows, in the future, it might. The highest it can get in the market at the present time in somewhere in between $8k.

Lol. Even shooting for half of that is already hoping for a miracle. Though yeah sometimes miracles do happen but you have to look at the more realistic side and reality would tell you that even 20k would be hard to hit by the end of the year

It is a huge amount forecast of bitcoin price by this year. So no one can exactly predict what price can reach in 2018. Only few remaining months left this year ends even $10k cannot reach this time but I am hopeful price of btc may increase this year.

Definitely, the price of the bitcoin market will increase this year but the highest pumping price of this year won't pass the $8000-$11000 price range. However,Tim Draper previous prediction coming to past doesn't mean what he predicted for this year price will also happen because the market have changed ever since the market correction occur.

The highest the price has reached is around $8K. it is not expected for the price to go beyond it anytime soon. But then again the market is unpredictable and it can actually happen in the future.

A $100k by the end of this year is impossible. Yes, the price of Bitcoin is rising slowly and it is gradually regaining back its previous position. But, I think by the end of 2018, it might reach the value of maximum $30k. Let's see what happens.

I always like to hear those crazy Numbers but those prices are to fast .... and 1000 to 19000 is much diffrent then 6.5k to 100k its maybe only 15X but So much more fiat .....iT Will happen but over little more time is my guess

I think 100k is too difficult to be true, if 50k might still be possible.

Hopefully by the end of the year there will be a large pump going on.

It doesn't mean your speculation is right from the past it will happen again to the future, we are just speculating, not a prophet to know the exact outcome of the price through the future it might be wrong or right, there's a possibility for that but not this year as it might take a long period of time to witness that price most probably we are going to experience dumps and selloffs as the price rockets to its peak thus making profit from their holdings.

There is no chance that bitcoin will hit $100k this year, unless you are a great optimiser. Bitcoin will need long time to recover from this long price fall .i think in good case bitcoin can end the year somewhere about 15k dollars. Most likely we will see bitcoin reaching 100k price in couple year.

Its not possible for now but i think bitcoin prices going to hit 50k in 2 years. Reasons are simple; halving, upcoming economic crisis, and more. Lets wait 2 years more to get rich!
