We're pretty close. We've seen the Marshall Islands go in this direction and now we're hearing things about Switzerland and Sweden experimenting with the idea.

I'm not cool enough to have a fancy signature so you're stuck reading this

Such government will still try to study and understand what is all about crypto. They are going to make it better first before implementing anything. We should try and wait if they are going to use cryptos in the future.

Some countries are already considering it because hyperinflation is killing them. How long can you act like it's all fine and reset the currency by changing its name or cut a couple zeros. Last year your loaf of bread costed 1000, now it will cost you 10, because that's how we roll, and in 2 years it will al be back to 1000 again Cheesy
People are already preferring to trade phone cards instead of their national currencies, it won't take long before they learn how to use BTC.

For me, the term 'National Crypto-Currency' sounds paradoxical. Since this is contrary to the main purpose of crypto currency!

One of the main drawbacks of decentralized crypto currency, which is a serious obstacle to independent use of them as money, is their greater volatility in price. This despite the fact that the idea itself is very promising and promising. That is why many states, taking into account the great interest of citizenship by crypto currency, will issue their own national crypto currency, which will be already fully managed and therefore will lose its big volatility. There are still very interesting events ahead of us.

depending on how quickly they adapt to crypto.
for example, Japan, the growth of bitcoin in Japan is very fast and thorough, currently bitcoin is the second currency in japan.

Must say that some countries are very close to it and even already implement national cryptocurrency and the others are too far from it and won't see it happening for a very long time (speaking about decades). At the moment the first country to create its own national cryptocurrency is Venezuela. And I heard yesterday that they have the intention to bind it to Venezuela's national currency - Bolivar. So, sounds very serious. I have no doubt that they will do it soon. Because the president of this country is extremely enthusiastic about the idea of national cryptocurrency because he considers it might help its country's economy growth.

I think this idea is not even in the plans of the governments of the countries.

The issue is only discussed at the expert level.

While we are talking about the legalization of the cryptocurrency.

Therefore, in the next 5 years - no.

I'm not even sure this matters... countries/central banks and other enslavement legal entities will probably create their own "cryptocurrencies" which won't be true cryptos in the sense that they will be closed, controlled and stale for innovation.

The question is, when do people adapt how they live to ensure they can be financially independent of the current scam/deception that is sold to the masses.

They should bind it with some magic spell, something that probably only Morgoth is able to cast

The Bolivar is in a free fall any cryptocurrency that is tied to that would have to add a digit everyday.
The way things go you will even need an additional HDD just to store the zeros for your coins.

Maduro is insane/mad/stupid, pick any and add two hundred more, his solution for hunger was to tell people to grow rabbits in their apartments, solution for energy shortage? stop using hair dryers.
Help the economic growth? You mean stop the shrinking !!!!

No centralized coin will save it, not even a decentralized one, the problems there are so deep you might just start everything once more from the stone age.

Crypto has a clear idea about it. I do local cryptos better than before. If the government gives attention. We have to wait more. I think its future is very promising.

I think if the government gives attention to native crypto, the economy of the country will be a big change. Crypto is now the most profitable and potential business field. Which would be better in the future.

It has been a suggestion for many countries but have not seen any materialized. I believe they will all be subject to bitcoin, they cant solely survive in the space even as a national currency.

I don't believe national cryptocurrencies can make it. Because it is opposite of cryptocurrencies idea with centralized shape. We will see soon with Petro. I can't believe it will be succeed.

Its avery long process before a country will implement a national currency, because its  pass a strong debate, legalization, acceptance from the world government, many positve  outcomes to be presented before its will become regulated, therefore in other words its so far and hard to pass to become a national currency because you will need a global permision and i thinks this will pass through like a hole of a needle.

From my point of view these days are not far away. The government of every country try to understand the crypto market and its policy. They want to balance it for the regular currency. Untill they can’t made proper rule the crypto will not accept. I think all are concern about this. Hopefully they will approve it soon.
