Widespread reporting revealed the United States’ largest cryptocurrency bank, Coinbase, has formed a political action committee (PAC). PACs are a particular way most politicians in the United States are funded. Entry into federal campaign finance by a well-regarded member of the ecosystem is a first.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

It's a smart move and it had to be done in order to advance the cause. There's too many people with deep pockets on the other side so we need an advocate on our side.
