Hey everyone, just joined the world of bitcoin/altcoins and mining and got my new block erupter cube all setup.

As i've been reading up on all of this i've heard several times that ASIC miners can only mine SHA-256 currencies, however during my setup with multipool and and my stratum proxy i've observed exactly the opposite, i can't seem to connect and mine any SHA-256 currencies but seem to connect up to the scrypt pools just fine. More or less a curious observation as this whole project is mostly to understand the system and setup/economy and trading.

so far i've noticed i seem to max out at ~85% efficiency but i'm not sure what that might be due too. would changing my worker difficulty make my miner more efficient? would using different proxy server software or mining different pools increase this?

below is a screenshot of the running setup

Hey buddy I would like to mine scrypt with my cube, but I'm not sure it can happen without a software solution right??

Check out my prescient ATS thread from 2008: "Windows XP: End the Cyberwar, Open the Code Now!" http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread411978/pg1
