Willy Wonka - played by Mark Karpeles
Charlie - played by those of us who own bitcoin on mtgox
Tired old grandfather - played by those know-it-alls on here who don't own bitcoin on mtgox.

We are now at the end scene when Charlie is told he will get nothing by Willy Wonka, and the grandfather calls Wonka a crook.

Ball's in your court Karpeles.  So what's it going to be?

For us Charlies out there (and for the sake of bitcoin), I hope it's not a showing of the door with a "I SAID GOOD DAY SIR!!"

Worth a look for old times' sake:

At least Charlie ended up getting the chocolate factory in the end.  I guess you still have faith in Mark?

I do feel like I found the "golden ticket" with Bitcoin though.  Grin

Only a few of us have them.  They are valuable regardless of what Gox does.

all of us represent the kids who won the golden tickets but were turned into grapes or killed by wonka along the way.

some of us sold too early and are out, others put their coins on exchanges and can't access them, and more still have been victims of hacks and other swindles. Only a chosen few will keep hold of their coins for the long road ahead and eventually ascend to the throne of the coming bitcoin world economy!

Night gathers, and now my bitcoinwisdom watch begins.

Maybe if Jon Lovitz played Karpeles. Yeah, that's the ticket. Yeah, you can trade to get bitcoins at half price and then we'll just give them to you, yeah. Yeah, then you get this magical candy factory, see? Then you get these magic cards, see? That's the ticket!

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.
